    Drinking water at the correct time of day maximizes its effectiveness on the human body:

    • 2 glasses after waking up helps activate internal organs
    • 1 glass 30 minutes before a meal helps digestion
    • 1 glass before taking a bath or shower helps lower blood pressure
    • 1 glass before going to bed help avoid strokes and heart attacks

    when i saw the numbers, i thought it's about beer ;)

    water, of course, is healthy and if you don't want drink water it's mean that you aren't thirsty.

    Remember - sugar in drinks is bad

          I wonder if there is much difference in the above and just drinking 'consistently' throughout the day... i.e knocking back a glass of water every 30-45 minutes... I doubt it

                  They made us drink 10 canteens a day in bootcamp. 1 canteen was about 1 liter. I didn't mind the taste, it's just that the amount is ridiculous. The most I ever managed was a little over 6 canteens.

                      Never heard the listed reasons specifically, but I think most reasonable people above a certain age knows that water is good for them.

                      But hot damn do we (or at least *I*) need a reminder like this every now and then. I could probably cut my food-budget by 1/3rd if I cut out sodas altogether. I still try to drink a proper amount of pure water each day, but it doesn't help that I'm not fond of the price of bottled water where I live, nor the taste of my buildings tap-water. But hey, at least it's drinkable, you know? I usually have a few bottles in the fridge to cool it properly before consumption, and it's not all that bad.

                      But everything within reason - Too much water could give you a sodium deficiency (though I sincerely doubt I'm anywhere close to that) ;)

                        I found I'm much healthier since I started drinking several liters of extra water every day.
                        The downside is having to go to the toilet every hour or so while at work, because I drink even more there.

                            Water is great for the skin and also just in general good for you.

                            It prevents aging of the skin, it's a solution that cleanses the kidneys as well as the body in general.

                            Drink plenty of it, but the bathroom call is always there. :(
