• Recommend me windows software for managing photos please

Hey folks.

My mother has just got a new windows 8.1 laptop and is busting my balls to find her a piece of software to manage her ever extending photo library.

Recommendations please. Should be simple enough to use and free (legally) if possible

Thanks

Adobe Lightroom, or just Bridge, even WMP/WMC is OK.

I had thought about Lightroom. Didn't know if it would be too much for her though. Is it quite simple to use

Yep, very good, but not free.
Old versions of PhotoShop are free but too complex.
The Adobe Bridge S/W is free (with other stuff) & can be used to manage Pics.
I have the Cyberlink packs & get free photo S/W with this...

I fear she has some bloated piece of software that has been supplied with the camera haha

I use Picasa from Google Chrome. Very simple, light, powerful and FREE.

Lightroom is way too much to give to your mom.

I agree with GamesofThrones. Picasa is dead simple and free.

Curious as to how well this worked out. I am looking for something similar.

Picase perhaps the best choice.

The new photo's app in Windows 10 is pretty good too
