I agree with Allice, the best is imgburn. At least for me, it's the lightest, fastest to work with burner currently on the market. Amazing features and with few clicks you are set to go. Since I tried it I haven't been using anything else.

I've always used Ashampoo Burning Studio. It's easy to use. I like it.

Nero for random stuff like applications, archives, photos, music and ImgBurn for images.

When i used to burn a lot of audio CD's i used Feurio but it only worked with certain drives. I still consider this a good program. other than that i used Nero for audio. I use ImgBurn for burning images and the like. DVDShrink for burning DVD's.

I think IMGburn wins this one, because it can burn almost anything (for example xbox games). Even though I used Nero for a long period of time, this year I decided that I will give IMGburn a try, and I never switched back.

CDBurnerXP is a nice piece of software that I'd recommend to anyone. I personally find more use out of Nero, I currently have Nero 7 Ultra edition (by choice).
