  • Subtitles - Where do you get yours?

Hey folks. Where do you all get your subtitles from for your movies. There seems to be a few sites out there so can anyone recommend any in particular :)

It's driving me crazy not knowing what the English is for the foreign audio parts grrrr

    www.opensubtitles.org

Only one I use, pretty popular as well. Works for the most part, English subtitles should not be a problem.

Thanks for the suggestion Brother Jay. I found this one but the pop-ups were so annoying. Doesn't seem to have as many options as subscene either.

            Use AdBlock. :P
But yeah I suppose subscene works as well. I mean English subtitles are never really hard to find actually.

How do you OCR it yourself? Do you have to download the full complete BluRay first?

You can use the Full Bluray.. Or i use SPARKS Bluray release. Since my Media player at my living room can't read .sub or .sup files

                    Steps:
                    1.Find the m2ts file
                    2. Use mkvmerge or makemkv to convert the file to .mkv
                    3. Use mkvextract to get the .SUP subtitle file
                    4. Use SubtitleEdit.. You can choose other apps too
                    5. Just open the file at SubtitleEdit and the app will do OCR by itself

Looks like a lot of steps but it is actually not that hard to do :)

No, I don't, I would simply advise you to switch to a different browser. IE is sh*t IMO.
