    Gigabyte GA-Z77-D3H (Rev 1.0) Hackintosh Build

    Hey everyone,

    Here's my first Intel Hackintosh build! It is as follows:

    OS X: Mountain Lion 10.8.2 (12C60)
    CPU: Intel Core i5 3470 3.2 GHz
    Motherboard: In title! :)
    RAM: 6 GB Kingston DDR3 1333MHz RAM
    Storage: Western Digital WDC WD10EARS-22Y5B1 1TB 5400 RPM Hard Drive
    Graphics: ASUS EAH5450 512MB SILENT, Onboard Intel HD2500
    Optical: HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GH60N
    Case, Misc: Enermax Ostrog (Red Trim), Antec Basiq 350W PSU, Antec TriCool 80mm (Blue LED)

    Reused the majority of parts from my old Acer Aspire X3400-U4032, but plan to expand in the near future! ;)

    Here's how I installed:

    1. Boot myHack installer with GraphicsEnabler=No -x (for Radeon HD5450) and install to hard drive.
    2. Use myHack USB to, again, boot, but this time to hard drive. Had to use flags in step 1 as well.
    3. Download latest Chameleon trunk, then install to EFI partition with bs=4096 (for hard drive with 4k sectoring).
    4. Backup AppleACPIPlatform.kext, then upgrade to 10.8.2. Rollback AppleACPIPlatform after upgrade.
    5. Now booting from the hard drive (still with GraphicsEnabler=No -x), patch AMDRadeonAccelerator and ATI5000Controller with Device ID "0x68E11002". In AMDRadeonAccelerator, Device ID goes under "Cedar".
    6. Add GraphicsEnabler=Yes and AtiConfig=Shrike to org.chameleon.Boot.plist, then reboot. User should now have full QE/CI and sleep. However, DVD Player does not work without framebuffer "Eulemur".
    7. Patch DSDT and AppleHDA for sound. More in my guide here.

    That's pretty much it, folks! After these steps, users can go about their usual customizing, like SMBios.plist etc. Here's a copy of my org.chameleon.Boot.plist:

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "">
    <plist version="1.0">
        <key>Graphics Mode</key>
        <key>Kernel Flags</key>
        <key>System Type</key>

    And here are my geekbench scores: MacPro3,1 - Geekbench Browser

    My System Information:

    Note: I'll post pics as soon as I install my red lights. For now, it's just one [lame] blue Antec TriCool, which doesn't match with the red trim. Very bad for PR!
