  • Style of Post Likes/Dislikes

    Hi there,

    I was recently confused which post the "Post Likes/Dislikes" belong to, because it is a separate section in the thread view and the spacing before (highlighted in green) and after (highlighted in orange) the Post Likes/Dislikes is the same:

    I played around with the browser's developer console a little and came up with something more compact and less ambiguous:

    It's quite easy to change and in my opinion it's a step forward.

    What do you think?

    I agree, to be honest it never really bothered me but I do like what you did, more than the original.

      So basically to put "<li class="postbitlegacy postcontainer" id="yui-gen20"> </li>"

      in the last line under <li class="postbitlegacy postbitim soft-shadow postcontainer new" id="">

      I think it would work, unless it might mess up any of the CSS or JS codes.

        Actually I changed

        Code:
        <li class="postbitlegacy postbitim soft-shadow postcontainer old" id="post_2117537">
          ...
          <div class="postfoot">...</div>
          <hr>
        </li>
        <li>
          <div class="posthead">
            <span class="postdate">Post Likes/Dislikes - 2 Likes</span>
          </div>
          <div class="postdetails" id="dbtech_thanks_entries_2117537">...</div>
          <div class="postfoot">...</div>
        </li>
        to

        Code:
        <li class="postbitlegacy postbitim soft-shadow postcontainer old" id="post_2117537">
          ...
          <div class="postfoot">...</div>
          <hr>
          # first and second <li> merged together
          <img src="dbtech/thanks/images/thanks.png" alt="Likes" title="Likes" border="0" style="margin-left: 18px">  # smiley-image put to the front, css-inline-style added
          <span style="margin-right: 1ex">Post Likes/Dislikes - 2 Likes: </span>Post Likes/Dislikes - 2 Likes</span>  # div changed to span, css-class removed, css-inline-style added
          <span id="dbtech_thanks_entries_2117537">...</span>  # div changed to span, css-class removed
          <div class="postfoot">...</div>
        </li>
        Note that I added comments inline with "#"
