    about quota:

I have 2 dedicated servers, one with Quota plugin installed (sbox from scratch, script present in this forum), and one with manual script described by Arakasi here in this thread.

I do no use quota because i use filezila or ssh session under terminal with my mac.

But, in rutorrent screen, if you select only one of your present torrents, and choose "General" tab, you can see in the section below folder and above date the avalaible storage which is correct and equal as the displayed quota with filezila...

i hope it will help you...

edit after compare between my 2 rutorrent screens:

sorry, quota is included in both cases. In very bottom left, you have 2 cm of percentage display (97%) , and if you left mouse on it, quota is working ( 25GB / 917 GB) in my case...

hmmm you need to install webmin and don't forget to mount point /home
so the left space goes to the /home folder
lets say 1 TB HDD you got , so it should be like 20 GB for system and the left goes for /home so you can install quota and manage the diskspace plugin
also there is a paid plugin supporting quota for multiuser

      • Thank you for this guide! Used parts of it to get my seedbox up and running a few days ago. Works perfectly, still tweaking it here and there.

        • did that. the quota is enforced, but does not report in rutorrent frontend.

          • pls edit the distri detection in your script
debian jessie is now debian 8 (at least @ovh/kimsufi etc)
            works 100% when i edit debian*jessie to debian*8
            (or just add the line)

thanks so far, best working script on TI and the only one that works 100% everywhere i used it
(i miss openvpn, but i like your simple as possible approach)

Thanks for the feedback, I will update the distro detection tomorrow, and post here when it is done.

                    • never heard of it.

I came from Lefteris's script which quotas works. however it's very unstable.

                      • I downloaded the plugin.
moved the dIskspace plugin to my home user folder.
moved the quotaspace plugin to the /var/www/rutorrent/plugins folder
chmod the entire directory to 755
                        When i run the ./run.sh I get:
                        ./run.sh: 3: ./run.sh: pauser.php: not found

pauser.php is in the same folder as the run.sh
i also tried chmod 777 the entire directory as well. Same error.

Thank you for your assistance so far.

don't need to run that file
just do the chomd and refresh your rutorrent webui
                          that's it
also the pauser leave it don't mess with it
                          just the run.sh
                          without to run it
move the quotaspace folder to the /var/www/rutorrent/plugins
and enter that folder search for run.sh and do CHMOD 755 for that file
                          that's it

                          • Thanks for the script! It is really awesome!

                            Just one question.

When I use my local IP address to access ruTorrent Webui on HTTPS it works perfectly after I added the certificate to Google Chrome. But when I try to access from the internet on HTTPS It crossed with a red line.

Tried to save the certificate again it doesn't help me at all.
How can I fix this or do need to create an other certificate for access from the internet?

                            Thanks.

I think the issue is that the certificate is under the local ip address rather than the public one. So fine if you are accessing from the same lan using the local ip, but not so if accessing using the public ip or domain.

I would suggest that you use whatever address you access it from over the internet, so either static ip or a domain name.

You can rerun the script (you can skip the rtorrent compilation), and when it asks if the ip address is correct answer no, and then when it asks you to enter the ip/domain it should use enter the ip/domain you use to access the server over the internet eg. example.com. The script will populate this info into the webserver files and certificates.

You will need to save it locally and add it to your browser again.

Let me know if that resolves the issue.
