Weird speed?

Hi i have Medium ruTorrent Seedbox from dediseedbox and right now i have 20 torrents active. Overall Speed is about 11 MB/s. When i stop all torrents exept two overall speed is about 20MB/s.




How this is possible and why my overall speed is lower with all torrents active?

I'd like to see a screenshot of your speeds, specifically the speed graph in ruTorrent which shows the variation in speeds.

As you can see, with 2 torrent active i had about 11MB/s with all torrents active i had about 5 MB/s! And my 2 torrents that had speed about 11MB/s they now have speed about 2,5MB/s

This is how HDD works. More torrents = more files and HDD slows down because it must read a lot of files from many locations. Simple, more torrents = slower , fewer torrents = faster.

OK but how many torrents i can have before this will happen? It looks like 2-4 active torrents :(

And this is problem because i have sit and turn torrents on and delete old torrents manually. I have thought that seedbox will be automated

It's hard to say because it depends on a lot of things. You must learn it trying different options.

So it is complicated. I have to choose big torrent if i do not want to sit and do it manually


But how it is possible that i had speed about 30MB/s with 8 torrents? If HDD is limit for 3 torrents with 10 MB/s speed why i i have that speed?

It is most likely due to the HDD.

It depends on a lot of things not only the number of torrents. You have a shared account so the most important thing is how other people from HDD use their accounts.

dedicated is the best. I have over 100+ torrents i still have full speed.
