does iptorrents not let you use proxy servers?

All the torrents I've downloaded from iptorrents don't connect, the tracker gives me a proxy connect error. I don't use a proxy to connect to the actual site through fire fox, I only use it in my bittorrent client. Is it not ok to use a proxy in the client and if so why?

As far as I know they does allow VPN and proxy.
I think you misconfigured your client OR your proxy doesn't support the protocol (proxy is not tunneling all traffic)
