• how many tracker's do we need?

well how many trackers do we need exactly to be precise
I have seen guys running for every single trackers which is available for taking including me.Suddenly IT CAME TO MY MIND THAT WHY AM I HERE basically for a tracker which is general in nature where i can get all the files, book's, software's that i need.THEN WHY i suddenly started collecting trackers which were useless to me, may be because of options i was having now?
or I could not resist to trackers which were there to be taken but i realised it now i was not being fair so till i dont progress till 75% no more trackers that's it ,I have want i want now its time to give back to T-I SO from now on only forum AND POSTING that's it nothing else lol's

Because different trackers specialise in different areas. General trackers will have decent content, but for example if I want TV content. A tracker like BTN or freshon would offer much more as it has packs/dedicated on site information regarding the series of the show etc. The benefits are even more obvious when you are using trackers that are gazelle-based as the content is just so much more organised for use.

Personally, I think a general tracker + TV + Music is enough. But everyone has their own needs like p*ahem*orn :)

It's pretty simple really! As many as you like!

IPT (General), What (Music), PTP (Movies), BTN (TV)

if you want an e-learning tracker I'd suggest BitSpyder!

I agree with Raum. A lot of trackers are useless to me. But I realized that before joining to TI community. I created an account here just for one tracker (could become 2 in the future). For the moment, general and music are enough to me. But that's just my opinion.

There will certainly be big "core trackers" that you use more often than others, and smaller specialized ones like MyA and, if you speak a language other than English, trackers specializing in content for those trackers. It's a good idea to join a bunch of trackers, though, for a few reasons: (1) No trackers lasts forever, and you don't want to be caught with your pants down, (2) Sometimes you want something really rare and you have to search a bunch of trackers to find one or two lonely seeders (this happened to me recently looking for Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Edit -- after that, I wrote an script to search all my trackers at once). The secret to success is often diversification; if you can spare the storage space or bandwidth, why not join a bunch of trackers and seed one or two relatively popular files to build a low-maintenance buffer? From other threads, it's obvious most people download way more content than they could ever use; why not join way more trackers than you could ever use?

Well, my intention of joining a bunch of private trackers all in the field of HD content might be the fact that, sometimes, the same torrent with exact size and content is available on a 5 or 6 website network. Well, you try to download it at your own tracker which you mostly work with. You see that there is no seeder or 1 seeder and you can hardly get data from them. Then it's time for you to check it out on other trackers of yours and you might find the same torrent you have been trying to download with lots of seeders and peers on that tracker

I find that specializing really helps trackers to provide the best content. Trackers like IPT are cluttered with all kinds of torrents and don't have the depth of content that specialized trackers have.

I need a tracker for Movies, TV, Music, and Video games. It's also nice to have a tracker for software, and ebooks but not necessary for me.

BtN, PTP, BG, UG, and what are all I would need but PTP is closed

One for each area of course! A General tracker, a movie tracker, a TV tracker, etc.

Of course, you can sign-up to as many as you want, but spread yourself too thin and you may feel the strain.

totally agree, one for each content type, preferably gazelle :)

only exception is music, i would never be able to chose between waffles and what.cd..

I don't think there can ever be a definite answer to a question like this. It's kind of asking a woman (or my wife at least) how many pairs of shoes or purses do you need?

Each area can be further refined and pretty soon you're down to metaphorically splitting hairs. For example within the movie area this can broken down: there's ptp or tc for more general stuff and hollywood-type films, then i'd like some horror so thc fits the bill for that. i'm looking for an documentary on the politico-socio decline of eastern bloc europe during the late 20th century so maybe kg or docs has something about that...ad infinitium. IMO there can't be an answer and trying to restrict yourself to arbitrary categorizations doesn't make sense since in you'll be limiting what you can want.

as for spreading yourself too thin, i have to disagree. true that you can't be a power user+ for every tracker you join (unless you're a dedicated ratio whore ;) i think you don't have to join every tracker you see, although you could, just what you think you'll actually use whether it's a few torrents a year or you become one of the top ten uploaders.

Avoid having too many trackers. The more that you have, the more difficult it is to manage them. Plus, avoid collecting tracker invites. Some of our members actually donate money to their trackers to receive invites. Yeah I know it sucks that sometimes you have to donate to get invites to hand out. Blame it on the staff from those trackers.

The trackers i've used most over the years are CG,KG,THC, and TVV but that speaks to my taste. I use IPT from time to time for software and such but thats about it. In the short time i've been here i've started using science hd (which is one of my favorite trackers now, MyA(which has filled most of my audiobook needs), and recently comicbt, which is amazing by the way if you like comic books. The only tracker that I want at the moment and I think may be the last tracker that I won't is Cartoon Chaos but invites for it is few and far between. What it boils down to I guess is that a person needs as many trackers as suits there needs. That is why there are niche trackers for everything under the sun because people have different taste and if we were all stuck with the same content from just a few general trackers then that would be really boring.
