Thread: PreToMe (PTM) Review

GENERAL / SUMMARY

Allround tracker with many sections. Good speeds for all of the newly posted content, most of it pretty quick after warez scene pre. Seeding may be difficult for some, but fortunately there are no hard ratio requirements (read more under Downloading Rules). A fair amount of members use fast seedboxes to seed their torrents. A popular choice of hoster seems to be OVH for this tracker, which has good routing to mainland Europe. There are no wait times or other restrictions for new users.

Most, if not all, of the torrents are warez scene releases so you will get original rars + sfv + nfo or zips. Some may find this cumbersome but to me it is a sign that what I download is of good quality. Nukes and nuke reasons can be indicated on this tracker if necessary. Where possible this tracker lists pre times for the torrents to give you an idea of the age of the release.

CREDITS

This site uses credits, to give users access to invites and other privileges, as on-site currency. Credits are rewarded for long seeding and fast connections and also seeding past the minimum requirements (see next section), as well as being in the IRC chan. Credits can also be used for gambling in the online Casino. Remember, though: the house always wins :)

DOWNLOADING RULES

Rules: Minimum seeding time 60h OR 0.75 ratio on EACH torrent, whichever comes first. Basically your ratio is not fucked when there are no leechers for the torrent you are seeding. This site uses Hit 'n Runs (sort of like a speeding ticket) to punish those who have not seeded long or hard enough. With each HnR you lose a download slot (you can still seed as many torrents as you like) which are really only used when you are actually downloading data. A HnR will disappear automatically after 1 month or you can use credits to buy them off or you can start seeding again within 6h.

SITE CREW

IRC chan with new torrent announcements and forum are available for various topics. Also, a help topic can be accessed on the private IRC server. The site admins are friendly and helpful and the general atmosphere is nice and relaxed apart from the occasional noob asking stuff that is in the FAQ in the forums... Just do not read the support section in the forum if you dislike that sort of thing. Sometimes I can't help myself and have a little chuckle over the stuff that is posted there though ;)

fantastic site! It's so easy to keep a good ratio, you get bonus credits really easily. Plus I was able to find a lot of stuff I couldn't find on IPT or T-D

this has become one of my main sites for music as they add stuff very quick and also get albums that other trackers miss. not the best but itll do until i get something better. any recommendations?

Music? Hmm yeah they do have a fair selection of music torrents but I wouldn't make it my primary source because of the lack of choice of quality.

It does load a bit slow, but i think that has been fixed..

It's been a while since anyone has commented on this tracker so i figured I would give a little update.

The slow loading times that DennTor was referring to have been fixed completely ever since they switched from Pretome.net to Preto.me. Now everything is very fast to load.

One final note is that this is my favorite tracker so far. I belong to a couple of more "prestigious" trackers but the easy seeding rules, great speed, and great community keep me going back to Pretome more than any other site. Just my two cents.
