It's understandable to be both overwhelmed, and over-excited. Don't worry, you'll learn quickly. The main thing is just don't break any rules here on T-I so that you can stay around long enough to earn the invites you want.

Demonoid is one of the best low level trackers to get e-books, in my opinion, so you're looking for the right things in basically the right place.

As stated above by multiple people, Demonoid is the bottom rung of the private tracker world, it's a great introduction for people who are new to this type of thing, but be careful how much information you share there, as it's not very secure.

I would suggest that after demonoid you set your sights on IPT. The review for which is here:

It's my first tracker I signed up as many of you. For me demonoid was a chance to get involved to bittorrent world. Since the rules don't care so much about the ratio you probably stay in that community as long as you delete your acc :)
Sometime you can find a stuff there which is not available elsewhere (ie compilation of a documentary, etc).
In summary the site is good for taste torrent, but because of lack of any especially special content and a sympathetic community you will search for other trackers if interested in seriously.

Yes, demonoid is great for the rare obscure search (books, sometimes music, radio) that other trackers seem to lack. I'll usually check there if my search results are coming up empty somewhere else. Speeds are variable but I've found them good overall. It's definitely a great place for someone starting out in private trackers, although the lack of ratio rules might not teach new people the best rules. Regardless, it's still in my list of trackers I visit and am glad to be a member.

one might also want to know that if u dl something with a server or seedbox there is a special way it has to be done for it to even count on ur stats. I went in and dled a couple of new torrents just to get a ratio going and seeded a 1.4 gig file to almost 300 gigs and NONE of it counted.

You know what they say about content, and say what you will about Demonoid but content wise it's pretty good, specially for a beginner. I don't use it much more as I now have access to some great private trackers but from time to time I myself downloading stuff on Demonoid that I couldn't find on IPT/TL.

you need to be invited to the tracker in order to access the tracker. you can't download the torrent unless you log in. you haven't made an intro yet. you should make an intro first. then it will be reviewed by one of intro mods. you can access the rest of the forum after your intro has been accepted. then you can find an invite to demonoid by doing a little search in the forum.
