It's been just over a year since Digital Hive was last reviewed and it has expanded its content significantly, from 8000 active torrents at the time of the old review to 21,790 as of November 16, 2010. Digital Hive is a General tracker with a good selection of both HD and SD movies and TV, games, and music.

DH has a good selection of freeleech content including the standard movie and TV packs, but its also not uncommon to find new releases of popular games and movies pop up on the site as freeleech as well. If you keep an eye out for these torrents, they can make it extremely easy to build up your ratio, especially if you hop on them early.

DH has an active IRC community, encouraged by their IRC upload bonus which adds 3.65MB of upload to your stats every 15 minutes (about 350MB for a whole day).

Digital Hive is a great tracker for most current media, especially for games, movies, and TV shows. Pretimes vary by show, but for most popular shows they are very quick. Typically, you can expect excellent download speeds on newer torrents, but older content is hit or miss. The same goes with content availability; if it's new they've almost certainly got it, but the older it is the less likely they'll have it.

The community is fairly active on the forums and IRC, but leaves much to be desired when it comes to filling torrent and reseed requests. It doesn't help that there's little to no incentive to fill requests. Beyond that, it's largely a cheerful and mature community that's very dedicated to DH.

It's worth noting that DH has no bonus system (except for the IRC bonus), but in my experience the site's abundant freeleech offerings make it very easy to keep your upload high.

Overall, I'd highly recommend this tracker as a source for new HD, SD, and game releases, especially if you have some more niche trackers to turn to when looking for older and more obscure content.

great comunity but this site is hated along romanians because again we are banned why?

ranked #2 on corrupt-net tracers. but if they included GFT, then it'll probable be ranked 3rd, so pretimes should be very good, especially for xvid movies and tv, where they sometimes beat GFT and rarely SCC. The IRC bonus is very helpful when I'm seeding at other trackers. The problem is that they don't have as much people as i would have liked, thierfor lacking in content. DH has the most freeleech, I've ever seen at a tracker, so a good ratio is easy to keep. They say that you have to seed for 3 days, but I don't think they actually punish, or even record H&R's. There's a good amount of the latest content that's not on ipt or tl: spam releases, music releases, and some movies uped by users(not the bot) that can't be found anywhere, including Isohunt.
My favorite and most used trackers for the latest scene releases: easy to seed, fast pres, good speeds(my dl speed is 350kbs anyways).
Idk why, but Romania is banned from several trackers, BMTV bans them because they trade and GA alot, like on this site.
DH is perhaps underrated, considering thier pretimes and ease of seeding, but oh well, I'd rather be with noobs than nerds:)

I am user here and as the review stated, speeds on new stuff is great. I can typically max out my 100mb connection on most new items. Ratio management is also pretty easy though I don't see a ton of people abusing the relaxed atmosphere. Two thumbs up from me.

I have been using DH lately and I must say it is one of the best sites I have seen. The speeds are great, they have a lot of free leech content so it is easy to maintain your ratio and I have set all my RSS feeds through them. The one (very minor) thing I don't like about this site is that a lot of their tv packs contain mostly TV-Rips even if the DVD rip is available elsewhere. BUT the fact that they have such a great selection offsets this con.

Been using this tracker for at least a year, it quickly became my goto tracker for current TV/Movies, super fast D/Ls, great community and fast releases. out of all the private trackers I have seen (not lots) this one stands out as great.

times are on par with other greats, not one of my mains but i use it occaisionally. good general place. i feel it lacks the extensive library of material other trackers like ipt have.

Can somebody please comment on how this site performs today? Its still ranked pretty high on tracers but I'm wondering about the community and the number of seeds. Thanks :)

The community is close and very friendly. The site performs... fine. IMO, it's a great starting tracker unless you have IPT then there's no need for this unless you just really want scene content to be in your hands 10 seconds faster.
