Tracker's Name : Corateesavio.rs
Tracker's URL : corateesavio.rs

Tracker Type : Mac-based/ -related applications
As you well know, the biggest Mac-based/ -related tracker out there was STC. Unfortunately the tracker went down in the first trimester of 2010, only to be brought to life again, into the newly formed CS's ICU room. The first attempt to resuscitate it was made a couple of months ago with Corate.es... but the staff decided that instead of moving to a v2 of it, they should create a better and improved tracker, so about a month ago, by changing their domain Corate.es became Corateesavio.rs. And what a great job they did....

Tracker Stats
The tracker quickly managed to gather over 1300 registered members and this was due to :
* the reactivation of ex-STC members, so if you were a member there and you want to be a part of CS, you just have to go to their IRC channel and talk to one of the staff members there.
* IRC invites : this was made possible through a fast-exploiting system of interviews.
* and of course, the invites given to members, either when promoted to certain classes, or upon donating --- see the proper sections below.
As for the torrents, i don't know if they managed to save something when STC died, or they had to build the database from scratch, but either way they have about 1400 torrents, but i won't guarantee you that they're all active.
Torrent Categories
Their main 2 categories, as you probably expected it, are OS X and iOS, but you'll find also some E-books and E-learning videos.

Freeleech
So, in other words... if you want high stats on your ratio, you'd have to upload stuff. As you can see in the picture, there are only few torrents/-packs marked freeleech. ( 4, to be more exact ).The Coratees system (which was essentially a perpetual freeleech) was absurdly easy to game, and it contributed to widespread inactivity on StC.
Forums
Although there are quite a few members active on the forums, you won's see much activity going around. There are threads with replies old enough to cough dust. We won't even talk about IRC, cause well... although they have 2-3 channels, the invites one is having all the fun.

Personal Commentary
STC died of inactivity, they say, and their major concern is for Corateesavio.rs to not share the same fate, so the staff came up with new design, which i have to say it looks great, a new domain and ... that's about it. One thing i liked about it, was the Collage system, carefully and thoroughly divided into 2 categories : Apple Aplications and Essential OS X apps.
Although the Seeder/Leecher Ratio is arounf 386, don't expect to reveal the truth behind the scenes. New torrents are sometimes under-seeded and you won't be pleased by the speeds either. To be honest i have tried to download 1 old torrent ( like 2 months old ), and after 1 hr it's still trying to connect to that 1(1) seeder.
Although it's been over a month the site changed its domain, sometimes is still laggy and full of bugs, which are obviously reported, but the staff is probably dealing with "surface" issues.
For example, in the Invites Page, at the bottom you'll find this last message :
* just for the record that IRC adress ( irc.corate.es ) doesn't work, since it's not available anymore, since their domain has changed. The right adress is indeed posted in their IRC wiki page, but the wrong one left out there shows careless and a slack behaviour.
* if we're still here, talking about IRC you should know something about their interview : in order to get in CS via the interview you have to have a Mac computer and at least basic knowledge about Mac OS X.... or you have to be a good liar. You will be prompted for ratio proofs or profile links ( the usual stuff for any interview ) and for some general Mac -related answers. This is a good thing, in my opinion... people should not be let in just because they want to join this tracker. ( that will only lead to a rich, but stupid user database ). Another good thing about their IRC is the bonus points received :
This is a newly implemented system, that ( if you're too lazy to read the whole thing ) will give you 0.25 IRC Bonus points for each 15 minutes you spend in the main channel, points that you'll be able to use later.
On another note, i am not trying to ruin CS with this review, as it is the best tracker of its kind out there, and if you are a Mac user ( no matter if you own a computer, an iPod, iPhone or any other Apple gadget ), and think that this site is useless or that you'll find better stuff on other trackers, then you are seriously delusional. This is a great tracker, but... it needs more work to be done. I know that for now it lacks certain things, but you can make it better.
