    Default iTS | iTS | Ratioless | 2010

    Tracker's URL : not available for public display

    Signup URL : not available. See the Invites Section for further information.

    Tracker Type : General-Ratioless

    Tracker Birthday : September the 16th

    As you well know from the 2009 review, iTS is one of those hard-to-get, or most wanted trackers in the BT world. This is a 3 years old general-ratioless tracker, and like i said on IRC today, not a good one... but a great one.

    Freeleech

    --- being a ratioless tracker, you don't need freeleech. But even so, the staff decided to reward the users with 1.5x traffic and 2x traffic on some categories of torrents, celebrating their 3rd birthday. But even so torrents must be seeded for either 72 hrs, or till you reach a 1:1 ratio.

    --- here are some of the torrents you'll find in those 1.5x and 2x traffic :

    * AFR releases :

    * FLACs --- even on this category, iTS has quite a torrent database, counting 650 torrents, which in my opinion is awesome for a general tracker.

    * besides those 2, there are other categories selected for that special offer, but i'm not going to divulge too much.

    Invite System

    You won't find any. In all my time there, only once i've seen a member being rewarded in some competition with 1 invite. Of course, on this chapter iTS decided to complicate its existence and accept free form-based applications ( via some sort of Sign-Ups ), which i think they're still open, or via another form-based application ( available to all members ) - the Recommend a Friend form. It came to my knowledge that there are certain trackers, that in their PU+ forums, have an iTS tracker recruitment ( and i think it's interview- based, or another form-based application... whatever ). You'll find that tracker recruitment in Pedro's and THC's ( The Horror Channel ) forums, as mentioned above. So there are some ways you could get in, but don't think it's that easy, because even if they gave some sort of an open sign-up application, they won't let everyone get in.

    Ratings & Personal Commentary

    The tracker starte 3 years ago as a 0-day tracker, a mixed-language one, i might add. Over the time, with few users and small resources but enough will to conquer even Everest, the staff managed to keep the tracker on the floating line, even if they have some rough times. Actually, what they did, was to transform a simple, ordinary 0-day tracker, in one of the most wanted trackers out there by :

    * developing the AFR collection. Here are some of those releases, you can find on iTS :

    For those of you who don't know what AFR stands for, is Advanced Filesize Regulation.

    In short, AFR releases do not follow the scene rules. Scene groups (e.g. DiAMOND,NeDivX) split their movies up into one or two CD's, 700MB avi files (the size of a CD-R).

    AFR releases aim for quality: the files are bigger and there's no split. The old concept of a 1xCD rip has been replaced by a single ~0744 MB file which is 1/6 DVD-R sized. A single ~1490 MB file (1/3 DVD-R) replaces the traditional 2xCD rip, and finally there are ~2236 MB files (1/2 DVD-R) instead of 3xCD rips. We call this the Advanced Filesize Regulation (AFR).
    That was taken from a thread on Nattawat...in order to find out which groups have AFR releases check out this link : Nattawat.org Warez Forum :: View topic - AFR releases - an explanation.

    * through their
    constant strive to increase our range of cinematic classics through the iTS Collection
    ... The iTS Collection will bring you just about everything you're looking for : Directors, Comedy, Film Festivals, Music and Studio Productions :

    * and through their newly formed FLAC/ lossless category, which gathered almost 650 torrents, as mentioned above.

    So we have the content, but what about the speeds? Well, downloading won't be an issue, at least not on those recent torrents, and the speed will probably be as good as your home connection/ seedbox will allow it. But i have to admit, older torrents are poor seeded, or even worse, with 0 seeders.

    Even from the beginning i decided to check out their IRC and faked some kind of an issue to see the time of response on staff's behalf. No comments there. Their main channel is just as active as ours. In the forums you'll get quickly noticed, as iTS community is a small, but a trustworthy ( so far ) one, with only 3500 registered users.

    At the first glance, you'll find this tracker similar to a movie-related/ movie-based tracker, due to the numerous internal releases, but make no mistake this is a 0-Day tracker. The Bonus system will allow you either exchange your karma for GBs, or even to customize your title and give/ help a friend. Gathering karma/ bonus points is not that hard, the process being explained in the following :

    Seed Bonus (for every seeding torrent / the maximum is 10 torrents/)
    (you will get points for 10 most seeding torrents)

    0 - 50 MB :: 0.1 point for 1 hour
    50 - 500 MB :: 0.3 point for 1 hour
    500 - 1500 MB :: 0.5 point for 1 hour
    1500 - 5 GB :: 0.8 point for 1 hour
    5 GB - 20 GB :: 2.0 points for 1 hour
    20 GB - :: 5.0 points for 1 hour

    Download Bonus (for every 100 % downloaded torrent)

    0 - 50 MB :: 2 points / 1 torrent
    50 - 500 MB :: 6 points / 1 torrent
    500 - 1500 MB :: 15 points / 1 torrent
    1500 - 5 GB :: 25 points / 1 torrent
    5 GB - 20 GB :: 40 points / 1 torrent
    20 GB - :: 100 points / 1 torrent

    Upload Bonus (for every uploaded torrent)

    0 - 50 MB :: 2 points / 1 torrent
    50 - 500 MB :: 6 points / 1 torrent
    500 - 1500 MB :: 10 points / 1 torrent
    1500 - 5 GB :: 16 points / 1 torrent
    5 GB - 20 GB :: 30 points / 1 torrent
    20 GB - :: 100 points / 1 torrent

    Extra Bonus

    Filled request :: 100 points / 1 filled request
    You can become VIP there, through 2 methods : either exchange some points ( like 10 K ) -- for a month, or donate...

    Like any other tracker, iTS had its problems in the past, but managed to preserve the original scent and even to take it one step further with numerous Competitions, with all kind of prizes, many active and helpful members, a strong community... which wishes to remain secret, so many pictures above, were edited, hiding their URL.

    As mentioned above, there are solutions for you, if you want to get in... it won't be easy, but that's something, right?

    This is probably the best of the small, closed trackers out there.

    I've always found that though there are a lot of torrents that aren't seeded, I've always had a reseed request filled within a few hrs. I believe AFR's and FLAC do not get deleted.

    Also, though there are about 3300 registered users, there are only just under 1400 enabled, about 250 more than there was before the public application. So, you can see that they are quite discerning about who they let in.

    Another note, almost all of the AFR rips can easily be found on the ed2k network, which is where they originated. As a matter of fact, ShitBusters, an AFR group active on iTS, has their own ed2k forum where they release their encodes.

    Great and well-detailed review, btw.

    Not quite, iTS has many internal releases that aren't availible at ed2k network (mainly Q0S and Ygt)

    Maybe for the same reason the tracker's URL and signup URL aren't displayed?

    Doesn't make sense. It's like they were up once before, maybe it's on TinyPic's end.

    True, the internal encoders/encoding team do not release on emule, they wouldn't be internal if they did. But, AFR groups, for the most part, are a part of the emule scene, where the standard was born and continues to be used, though you can easily find emule-borne AFR rips on most movie trackers.

    A couple of other sites have tried to adopt the standard or to at least suggest its use, but I've found most of their rips do not strictly conform to the standard, where emule groups tend to.

    Trackers like iTS are quite adept at getting their screenshots removed from image hosts, usually by filing a copyright claim with the image host. Kind of ironic, but necessary if you want your site to remain "hidden".

    Those screens are old and with bad quality. This review used to have a some very good screens.
    It is tinypic fault, it is just a matter of morph uploading the screens again.

    Yeah, the quality is quite bad. They've added some categories from last year like adult content, comics/manga, docs, and music DVDR/HD as well as the icons for all the categories.

    There's also a new Film Festivals category added to their collections. Their forums are quite active and they have this cool you[/you] code. And they revamped their userclasses.
