This is a newly created tracker, specialized as its name clearly states, in lossless music. The rumour has it, that it has been put together by some of the uploaders and certain staff members from both Pedro's BT Music and E****. If this is true, then you have a more commercial and easy-to-access version of at least one of those 2 trackers mentioned above.
The categories are various, covering different genres from Acoustic, Brit Pop, Country, Club Rock, Gothic Rock to Rave, Hardcore Punk, Hardcore Electro and even Swing and Irish Folk. You can even find some AudioBooks in there too. Each new torrent is marked with this icon :
which accordingly to their home page news, is the new approved icon for torrents that are 100% ok with the rules.
The tracker has already 391 registered members, although they didn't had any open registrations so far. The torrent database counts just over 1100 active torrents. You would expect from a new tracker to open its gates to the world, but it appears that LLW likes to share the same notion of intimacy as Pedro's and E****. Few, but trustworthy members inside. Although this site is not a direct competition with the 2 trackers mentioned above, it has Waffles and, even more, What.cd breathing in its neck.... What.cd had, last time i checked, somewhere about 201 K perfect FLACS. So, it's a difficult job for LLW, competing with that.We have implemented a new system for checking torrents. New torrents that are 100% according to rules will have a green "approved icon"
Torrents with minor errors like a missing info.txt or a wrongly named cover image will not get , but wont be banned either. All torrents must have correct log, cue and use the correct naming scheme or they will get banned.
The above only applies to torrents uploaded from today.
The freeleech system is quite nice. It's more than enough to help you keep a good ratio on LLW. As decribed above, each torrent is "promoted" to different categories of freeleech : 50% Leech, Free Leech, 2X up, 50% Leech and 2X up, Free Leech and 2X up and torrents larger than 20GB, Blu-ray, HD DVD Discs will be Free Leech.
The Forums are pretty active, members trying to get their posts up. And I've noticed, that there is a special section for invites to other trackers, but instead of being secret or PU+ restricted, as many other trackers have, this one is visible for the common user's naked eye. Pretty neat, i'd say. The IRC channel, though, not so active so far, members limiting their actions towards downloading and forums. But i think there's time for the IRC community to grow as well.
So we have the content, we have the community ( with certain well-known tracker staff members, i've recognised some of them ), we have the bonus, donation and freeleech... a good new tracker, which runs quite good, haven't seen any bugs so far... but what about the speeds ? I haven't got the chance to use it on a seedbox, but the new torrents maxed out my home connection. Being a new tracker, even the "old" torrents will be on the same page.
So, this is LLW... if you're looking for those perfect FLACS and you need to extend your home collection What.cd would be your answer so far. But if you want to give a chance to a up-coming new community, which happens to be a good lossless-related music tracker, who might be as secretive or hard to get in, in the nearest future, and might even be that "l33t" tracker... here's your chance. So once again, jump on those Waffles torrents, and on those PTP movies, get to PU+ and Elite ( in PTP's case ) and go ask for an invite.
