For every hour that you seed a completed torrent you get 1 bonus point. So the more torrents you seed the more bonus points you get.
Invites are easy to get because of great bonus system. (1 invite = 67,500 points)
Ratio is not hard to maintain because of bonus system. (50 GB Upload Credit = 306,000 points)

How is VipMusic for more obscure "indie" bands? I hate using the term "indie", but I can't think of any other way to describe bands of that sort. I mostly mean bands that are on independently run record labels. (Ex: Merge, Touch and Go, Kill Rock Stars, Matador, Dischord. These are obviously bigger independent labels, but I hope someone gets my point.)

This looks interesting. I have been looking for an mp3 specific tracker. I'll be sure to check this one out...Thanks!

I am not very impressed by this tracker to be honest. I wasn't able to find a lot of things I was looking for. Also, it's hard to seed. I've been seeding torrents for over a week and none of them have uploaded anything. I'm going to have to rely on the bonus system to keep my ratio up.

I love VIPMusic. One of the first private trackers I joined. It definitely doesn't have the quantity of material that other music trackers have, and it's nigh impossible to seed anything, but the bonus system is great. It's very easy to get upload credit since the system counts all the torrents you're seeding, plus you get like 5 freebies a month to use on any torrent of any size. I never really had a problem keeping ratio. The lack of material is definitely a knock against VIPM, though. I still love it. Maybe it's sentimentality.

i do have a tough time keeping a good ratio there. I like the layout of the site and the bonus system sucks, 1 torrent, 1 point, 1 hour. damn, im going to have to seed forever. =[
