HDAhoy is a fairly new High Definition tracker, that has been around since late 2009. They have a decent amount of content, good speeds on many of the popular releases, and a fairly active community. If you are new to HD and private trackers, this is a good starting point for you for multiple reasons. The first is because HDAhoy offers open signups, meaning new users can create an account on the site and instantly have access to a good amount of popular movies, documentaries, television shows and xxx in HD. Also, keeping a good ratio at the tracker is unbelievably easy, with a good amount of the content that you'll probably want to download being Freeleech. Also, promotion is based on download along with ratio, so if you are uploading a torrent that isn't Freeleech, you'll still get plenty of leechers downloading the torrent. It's actually harder to not maintain a good ratio at this site. On other trackers one will tend to look for stuff that seems interesting under Freeleech. However, on this tracker at some points you'll look for things that you will be interested in that are not Freeleech. Also, many torrents have upload boosts, meaning the tracker records extra upload on a torrent you're seeding. Their bonus system is also very good, allowing users to get very high amounts of upload credit for seeding their files for a long time, and allowing any user who downloads a file that for some reason doesn't get any leechers to stabilize there ratio by seeding for a long time and collecting the Seed Bonus. Finally, the site provides users with a feature called Seeding Opportunities, which gives them a list of torrents that they have downloaded that are underseeded or need reseeds. Combining all of these factors together makes HDAhoy, while not the premiere tracker for this niche, a decent tracker and a great place for people new to HD trackers or private trackers to begin.

HDAhoy is still fairly new, and it is still growing. It implements a wide variety of features that make it a great tracker to start on. For people new to private trackers, this is a good tracker to start on. It is not to overwhelming with its demands, and it points new users in the right direction. If you are yet to join an HD tracker, and you are looking for a simple solution or something that's easy to join and maintain a good ratio, then HDAhoy is a good place to do it.
Review:
Content: 6/10- It has most of the big releases and good quality encodes, and offers different resolutions, formats and encodes on a lot of its torrents but it doesn't have nearly the same amount of content as many other HD trackers.
Speed: 6/10- You will get good speeds on most of the Freeleech and popular releases, but I only maxed out my connection a handful of times.
Community: 5/10- From my experience with the community, a large amount of the activity is between staff members, and rarely do I see activity from anybody who isn't a high level member. Even then, the forums are not as active as on many other trackers of this kind. Also, at the moment there is no IRC channel for the site.
Layout: 8/10- The layout is nice, and it is very easy to find what you are looking for. Also, the descriptions of the files are usually very detailed, and they provide IMDB ratings and allow the IMDB links to provide information on the release, allowing users greater access to information about the movies.
