    Some more info about the content found here:

    - As the name implies, there are far more videos than ebook/textbook type content. Still a few good ebooks here and there, though.

    - Most of the videos are from more popular sources like national geo, discovery, etc. Not much in the way of less-common documentaries and such. If you're looking for that hard to find science documentary here, you might get lucky, but at this time, your chances aren't that great.

    - A smattering of textbooks, and an sort of OK amount of other science ebooks.

    - Quite a few popular science and scienctific american magazines.

    - A lot of the video torrents are sci fi, such as Stargate Atlantis -- easy to get elsewhere. This is worth noting, since a fair percentage of the # of torrent are going to be videos such as these.

    - They are a stickler about the naming format for uploads. Even if it's a good title, but doesn't follow their naming format to a T, it will be removed. So more experienced members who have uploaded so many torrents that their naming is almost automatic... pay more attention here.

    ~~~~
    A Few Other Torrent Stats
    - Out of ~ 3700 torrents, 3200 are video, ~400 are ebook, and about 75 audio. A smattering of e-learning (mostly video instructionals for various science topics)
    - A handful -- maybe 20 or so -- apps, some of which are very good. Namely, math modeling/rendering, advanced math/programming sim, and some physics and astronomy stuff, anatomy stuff, and a few others.
    Just to add that although there are not many users in this tracker, it is rather easy to maintain a good ratio due to the bonus system.
    On the other hand, rules for hit and run are very strict, so, just follow the rules
    Sounds like a nice place to find great Discovery and NatGeo series. For an average person who just has an interest in science documentaries stuff like that though, how likely is it that your application will be accepted? (assuming you answer wholeheartedly and honestly)
    Also does anyone know how up-to-date the content is? For example do they have the LIFE series from discovery up? Thanks in advance!
    Getting selected is very easy.You dont have to be a pro in documentaries.Just fill the application truthfully and sincerely.Till now there has not been any complaint that someone is rejected.So dont worry,passin is very easy.But remember getting a good ratio is very difficult as there as less users and hence less leechers.When it comes to content,they are really quick.Shows like big bang theory are upped more or less the same time it is upped at bitmetv and even other stuffs are verry quick.Yes they do have LIFE.One main advantage of this tracker is that they have stuffs in all qualities which is difficult to get at other trackers.
    One thing is sure,this tracker is worth being a part of.All the best
    Its also tough, because although you start with 10 GB of upload, you have to download a minimum of like, 3 GB per month. Very tough to get ratio via downloading and seeding. Your best bet is to find new large vids to upload.
    Being a science fanatic, I was glad to find the application page was still up. I spent about an hour typing everything up, making sure all of the text was meaningful. After sending it off, I received the confirmation shortly after, and was invited to join.
    One thing I really enjoy about SHD, apart from the amazing collection of science series, is they'll often have freeleech for the first episode of most series. Some series even have freeleech for every episode; for instance, (atm) Horizon! Each series has it's own page, which automatically displays every torrent related to that series in a well-ordered chronological listing. Additionally, episodes often include multiple formats (MKV/AVI).
    Individual torrent downloads are required to be 1:1 and/or 72-minimum total-seed-hours within 1 week; which is extremely easy to do because there's 168 hours in a week. With all of the freeleech content, it's very easy to meet the 3GB monthly download requirement; just make sure it's seeded for 72 hours or more.
    Also, in case you're worried about your client stats (in relation to 72h/seed-requirements), they have a really well-organized Seeding Section that displays your active Snatches, Seeds, Leeches, Uploads, and HnR's. This makes it easy to be sure that you can remove a torrent at/above the minimum seeding time, without accidentally getting a HnR.
    The only issue I've noticed is when I try and sort all torrents by date-posted (Asc/Desc), it doesn't seem to work (atm); so it's difficult to find the newest uploads to be able download something as soon as it's posted, in order to get in on the seeding before it's nearly unseedable. Other than that, I have no complaints. It's a really nice, unique, well layed-out science/scifi tracker. I don't think there's anything quite like this on the internet.
    no no no no no! dont sign up again! go to their irc support room and ask to be re-enabled. If you sign up again it is almost a promise you'll never get back in.
    and for the 3 gig "rule" its not strict..so for example guys if you download a 10 gig file? you're set for 3 months just keep active its not really that hard..post a little in the forum, sit in the irc chat and hang out with the regulars or go into their fun room and use trivia which you can get credits from.
    ScienceHD has an awesome community for anyone interested in science. I've only been a member for a day, but I can see that it's going to be one of my favorite forums for a while.
    Also, there's only 192 spots left, so you should apply and sign up before it's too late.
    Did you scroll past the stickied torrents? That confused me at first, also.
