Thread: Phoenix Torrents (PtFiles.net) Review

A new tracker still few torrents and small number of members .The staff members are respectable and the tracker is rich in features.

You start with a good initial ratio (about 4) ...many torrents are free leech...and many hours are "Crazy Hour" = download is free /upload stats are tripled .

The tracker has some features making it similer to this one (T-I forums) ...you have rep. to gain and some other funny features.. some of which is the egg system , karma points and coins.Karma points and coins are gained according to many conditions regarding torrenting,donations and satisfying requests and others ..the good part is that you can exchange them for invitations, reps, stats, or others according to your user class.The egg system is really an entertaining bonus feature where you accidentally find and egg icon while browsing torrent pages ...click it and you earn many things depending on the color of the egg and who else found it before you.

Rules
General rules: Break and get banned:

-Selling your account will get you an immediate ban!
-Do not defy the moderators expressed wishes!
-Do not upload our torrents to other trackers! (See the FAQ for
details.)
-Disruptive behaviour in the forums or on the game server will result in a warning (Click the image to open in full size. )
-You will only get one warning! After that it's bye bye Kansas!

Seedback rules: Break and lose download privilages:
Minimum Seeding Requirements: 1:1 Ratio OR

-downloaded amount 0.1MB - 30MB = 12 Hours Total Seeding Time
-downloaded amount 31MB - 300MB = 1 Day Total Seeding Time
-downloaded amount 301MB - 800MB = 2 Days Total Seeding Time
-downloaded amount 801MB - 10GB = 2 Days Total Seeding Time
-downloaded amount More than 10GB = 2 Days Total Seeding Time

Invite rules: Break and get banned :

-Selling an invite will get you an immediate ban!
-Offering invites is ok, as long as follow these guidelines:
-The site should be refered to as PTF or PTFiles, but not ptf login on any Public Sites
-Private Sites you may be more open and call us by name. Feel free to actively try to get more good members here, just respect their rules about invites or invite trading, and try to keep details to PMs.
-Ask for proof of good conduct at other sites: Screen shots of ratios, etc.
-Do Not post invite codes or invite links in IRC Channels, forums, etc -Use Private Messages or Private Chat and the like.
-Many sites wish to be referred to by their acronym only, ours being -PTF, so please respect that here and if that is the rule at their sites about invites, then do it there too.

Downloading rules: Break and lose download privileges:

-Access to the newest torrents is conditional on a good ratio! (See the FAQ for details.)
-Low ratios may result in severe consequences, including banning in extreme cases.

Irc/Shoutbox rules: Break and get banned from Irc/Shoutbox and maybe site:



-Do not tell people to read the Rules, the FAQ, or comment on their ratios and torrents.
-No advertising, mechandising or promotions of any sort are allowed in the IRC.
-Please do not post direct links to torrents of other sites as we feel that its not appropriate to post direct links of our torrents on other sites.
-No aggressive behaviour or flaming in the IRC.
-No language other than English in the IRC.
-No systematic foul language.
-No links to warez or crack sites in the IRC.
-Only use your site name in the IRC.
-No requesting of serials, CD keys, passwords or cracks in the IRC.
-Last, please read the FAQ before asking any questions!

Avatar/Signature size limits: Do not follow and your images will be removed :

- The allowed formats are .gif, .jpg and .png.
- Be considerate. Resize your avatar images to a width of 150 px and a size of no more than 500 KB and signature images to a width of 550 px and maximum height of 175 px and a size of no more than 500 KB.
- Do not use potentially offensive material involving porn, religious material, animal / human cruelty or ideologically charged images. - Mods have wide discretion on what is acceptable. If in doubt PM one.

Uploading rules : Torrents not following these will be deleted without notice :

File size restrictions:
Upload speed of 250KB/s max upload size is 1.5GB
Upload speed of 100KB/s max upload size is 750MB
Upload speed of 60KB/s max upload size is 500MB
Upload speed of 40KB/s max upload size is 250MB
Quite simply what ever you upload you should be able to have 1 copy of it up in 2 hours

Make sure your torrents are well-seeded for at least 1 week. Preferably 2 weeks

Make sure not to include any serial numbers, CD keys or similar in the description (you do not need to edit the NFO!).
Uploaders should stay active! You risk being demoted if you have no active torrents.


If you have something interesting that somehow violate these rules, ask a mod and we might make an exception.

This tracker is really decent , it needs time and members and it will be one of the best....or that is what i think.

I have been usig this for about a year, it has good content for beeing such a small tracker.
Has the potential to grow.
There are often freeleech and "crazy hour", as explained above, that help your ratio.

Pre times are not that good, and is almost always beaten by my other trackers on RSS download for TV episodes i HD (pretty much the only thing i DL alot of, 25+ shows atm)

What I like about this site is that's full with features;
You can have a pet which you have to take care of and can battle
with pets from other members.
And there is ofcourse the egghunt, you can collect eggs for bonuspoints
or freeleech coins. The eggs are hidden in even the deepest corners of
the site.
This are only two examples of the many more.
