Many people have heard about MVids and about the fact that is quite hard to get in.

Only VIPs receive 1 invite per month.... so probably that is why is so hard to get in.


For me this is one of the best trackers in the world.You can find every video you can't find elsewhere and here is well seeded.There is a bit hard to mantain a good ratio but in your help comes to possibility to donate,to hire a seedbox,download freelech torrents of upload your own videos.

Just wanted to give my thoughts of this tracker as well.

I've recently become a member (when I say recent, I usually mean atleast a month) and have been extremely satisfied so I'll thank my inviter for that.

Anyways, MVids have completely become my primary source for all music videos. I've also started replacing all my older TVRips with the VOBs available.

Some advices:

It's not the easiest place to maintain a ratio so I hope you know what you're doing. I have a dedicated 100 Mbps server and it has barely managed to get me over 50 GB upload and I was fortunate enough to join when a fairly popular freeleech was uploaded.

There are numerous freeleeches but most of them have 0 leechers. The ones that do are usually partial seeders. Even so, go ahead and download them since there aren't many ways to obtain upload here. Once you've reached atleast 10 or so GB then start downloading the newer uploads. Mixmash releases are fairly popular.

The other obvious way is to upload your own encodes.

I love how the uploads are organized and how uploaders have formatted their releases. The specs/stats/tracks/images are all there for you at first glance so you don't usually have to look elsewhere for information.
Peers are extremely low here so anything over 10 leechers is considered popular in my book. If you see 10+ leechers, you should probably download that torrent. Remember, this is to build your buffer in order for you to replace all your low-res videos (if you want to - that was my intention).

Traffic/speed. Ummm, not the best. Many uploaders seem to be on a slower residential line so it takes a while to get the swarm going. Not to mention older seeded torrents, those takes forever.

For those wondering about the community. It's active enough, but I wouldn't say completely overflowing with activity. The request forum is nice though. Requests are filled frequently.

There's also a separate forum for VideoFans and VIPs if you manage it. Like many other places, there's an invite section there. Although, probably not the best there is.

Overall, this site is perfect for music vid fanatics. If you're only here to be here and not use it, expect to be pruned.

How can be compared this with youtube??anyone??cos youtube always has a solution for all my music videos requirement...note that i am talking abt the content only

Well since you specifically mentioned content base, MVids is not going to beat out youtube. In fact, no tracker will. On a different note, if you're comparing the amount of files with higher resolution/higher bit rate files, yes, MVids definitely wins. Although, I've been seeing more and more 720p music videos uploaded to youtube or vevo or wherever so only time will tell.

Bad news...

We are experiencing some major server issues at the moment. Logins are not possible so the site is currently down.
