Do What.CD have a good selection of classical and baroque music? That's mainly what I'm looking for. If they do, I'll be checking out they're interview!

I tried the test and fail twice so do not want to take a third time because I don't know if I fail and then get an invite in the future will I be banned so if I decide to take test a third time I will have 2 make sure I can pass, was kind of upset b/c second interviewer call first interviewer to site and got me with the same ? I fail the 1st time in different format so felt it was unfair just miss 1 ? and interview was stopped
only the shadow knows the evil in the heart of men
shadow, they don't fail you if you get one question wrong. You have to show that you have knowledge in the topic. I only skimmed over the interview preparation site but reading the content I felt I knew enough to pass the interview because I've been downloading, ripping, encoding and transcoding mp3's for years.
If you don't have the knowledge then read the interview site properly. Actually understand it and you should be fine.
If you feel it is too much trouble then what.cd is not the site for you.
Note you will basically need to upload 24/7 for at least many months per torrent to be able to maintain a good ratio. And you only got 500Mb at the start.
But for me, I have to say it has been worth it.
The content is VAST, and the speeds are very good. All in all the community is great!
Amazing tracker. Can be difficult to get ratio up at the start. My bigest suggestion is go to a library and get a rare classical cd. Get a 100% perfect flac rip of it and all your troubles will be solved by that 1 rip.
It's really tough to compare.
What.cd:
They are fanatical about quality and formats. For instance they do not allow radio rips like "A State of Trance". Music is available in a variety of formats including Flac. Organization and searching is absolutely fantastic. Extremely difficult to maintain a ratio. You can upload content though.
trancetraffic.com:
Site hasn't changed much since the beginning and looks dated. Organization isn't great. They allow anything: web rips and radio rips. You cannot upload. They have the best selection of electronic with fast pre-times and tons of vinyl rips. Lossless rips are rare.
Basically it boils down to this: For new releases/singles I use TT. For high quality albums I use what.cd. Hope that helps.
i've never been to what.cd but someday i would and pass my interview (or somebody gives me an invite for that matter) XDDD
but i heard that the place wus great! lots and lots of goodies! X3
I've been on this tracker for a while and it has some great music and new releases usually get on there pretty fast.
Best music tracker out there. It was hard to seed at first, for like a year rofl, even if I seeded every single thing I ever downloaded. But after the April Fool's freeleech, I downloaded about 800 torrents, have been seeding all of them, and my ratio has been steadily increasing since.
There's the issue that because it's a music tracker, you'll often switch files around, rename them, change the tags, and can't seed it anymore. So what I had to do was keep a copy of every single torrent so I can do whatever I want with one, and still keep seeding the other.
My favorite tracker so far. The interview was not bad. Learn about transcodes and bit rates v0 v2 320 flac etc... read a few tutorials on using eac to burn accurate flac's. only quality rips here.
