Im new in what.cd and i use seedbox.I have'd put 2 files 2 download 2 test it.The 1st file was a fresh file from 1 min on the site. The second file was with a big leechers on it.And the seed its bad.I was aspecting 4 more seed. Now in scared 2 download. But my first impression it was that it's not verry organizze. They put the old music together with new music. They should do like jazz & jazz 2010 category's....
But anyway, they have FL or give some tips to rase my Ratio pls!
You've got to upload things to stay alive, and even then sometimes you don't get leechers but most of the time you'll get a few snatches.
what.cd = Best of the best music tracker, if not have source, too hard to keep ratio. Upload and seed everything (read rules before) you can
I dont understand the Hype behind this tracker? Can someone please tell me whats so special about this tracker? I mean content wise i find almost everything on waffles what makes what.cd so different?

I just did the interview for the first time and passed. It is easy to pass as long as you study the information about the different file formats and bitrates, you cant just go into the interview expecting to pass without studying.
As far as the difficulty seeding issue is concerned, all you need to do is go through your entire cd collection and find something that is not up yet. Even if it is up you can put up a different format or bit rate.
Especially look in the request section (the official t-wayne release is worth 139gb) to see if you have anything being requested. I found two CDs in my collection that each had a 1.5gb bounty attached, so I uploaded them in FLAC and mp3 v0. Before anyone downloaded the files I got 3gb of upload credit. After only 3 snatches, my ratio is over 8.0 after downloading 600mb, I should be good for a while, the highest minimum ratio you must maintain is .60(after downloading 100gb).
It's a great site if you can get in and maintain ratio. 10/10

random question. Having skimmed through the What.cd Beginner's Guide, I initiated the interview process. However, i was discouraged when, upon my asking, i was told that the interview might last for more than an hour.
I don't have that much time on my hands right now, I will at some point during the next two days. But I m just wondering. has anybody's interview lasted that long? And if so, what the heck could they be asking.
I mean, i ve had job interviews last less and gotten hired. Greatest music tracker or not, is it worth the hassle?
Yes, it does take that long. Yes it is worth it if you really like music. They ask very specific questions about transcoding and encoding different file formats. You should be able to look at the Spectral View of an audio file and be able to tell the interviewer what type of file and bitrate it is and where it originated from. If you can do that you will fly through. Take your time to study if you really want to get in. I spent about 4 hours studying before the interview and passed with flying colors the first try, the interviewer said I got every question right. It's not something that you should just "skim" through, unless you're an audio proffesional.

You could always join a tracker that gives invites to power users or something. Heck im too lazy to even attempt that interview. I guess it would be faster to do the interview instead of building rep at some tracker.
Thanks for the feedback man. I m a musician, so yeah, I kinda like music
I also have some experience with audio editing, but I certainly wouldn't call myself a professional. However, I was familiar with most of the info on their introduction site, hence "skimming" through was possible.
Anyhow, I m @ work now, with time on my hands, so I ll prepare for the interview more extensively.
cheers!
