TorrentLeech is arguably the most popular private tracker today, with the massive member base of nearly 180000. It looks like they are not afraid of their popularity and they even want to promote their site. The interview with the P2P news site FileShareFreak a few months ago really showed how popular the tracker is. With the arrival of P2P releases and internal encoding groups, it's no longer scene exclusively it's become a general tracker.

Tip to get invited to TL: Join their IRC channel (you can find the info of their irc channel in this review) via web-chat or an IRC client. You can hang out in their channels even if you are not a members. I'd suggest you stay on the good side of them. Help out members here on various things, be friends with them, then you will be invited to the tracker before you know it. I once lost an account due to inactivity and it only took me 3 days hanging in the main channel to get invited again. Rule of thumb: When you are there, DON'T EVER mention about invites or get tricked into talks about it. If you mention it, you will either get banned/kicked or some members might want to have some fun and play with you about the possibility of invites and you will eventually get kicked out of the channel too. So don't talk about invites there until you know people a little and they initiate the talk about it.




Home/News: TL has many activities other than the main function of a torrent tracker. They organise monthly lottery among VIPs to pick out a winner for monthly prize (iPhone 3G, PS3, xBox360...). They have a mmo game community of Travian and many other little things. You can find all the news about this activities on TL's homepage.

Torrent Categories & Browse Page: TL has a massive amount of torrents (up to nearly 25 thousands active torrents). The oldest torrent dated back to 2005. This speaks of the relatively high retention time. TL's categories covers from TV Shows, Anime, Movies, to PC/Mac apps, games of all platforms (PC, Mac, PS1,PS2,PS3, xBox360, Nintendo DS, Wii...).



TL even has its own internal dedicated teams to release all kind of movie content. This makes the tracker the best place for latest movies. Not very picky, TL accepts all sources, whether it is P2P or Scene, as long as the quality is on par. With all ranges of formats from TV-Rip to x264 quality (HDTV rip, DVD-rip, BR-Rip, x264 720p, 1080p...) TL members can choose any video format that suits them best.

With the massive amount of users, it's not hard at all to seed to get a good ratio on the site. The only down point at TL is waiting time for new users. On every new torrent, new members must wait 48h before they are able to download.



Tip for new members: Jump on some game packs which constantly have high amount of leechers, sometimes a hot movie will help a lot too. DO NOT try new TV-Shows of the week. They often have high number of leechers and seeders but that drops very fast. Movies, especially games live a lot longer.



Forums: If you will ever have a problem regarding torrents or you're facing difficulty maintaining a good ratio. TL forum is the place to go. Tons of Tutorials and Guides will certainly get you through with ease. This is also a place where you can have fun too of course.



Rules: Like many other trackers, TL have a strict rule regarding account sharing and invites, as well as download/upload ratio. But as I have stated above, as long as you are a good user, you will have no trouble here as it is easy to have a good ratio on this tracker.
User Classes: Other than staffs and upload team, TL has only 2 user classes (Users, Power Users) with the exception of course of VIP and Donors.

TL team is good at what they do and they treat their members with respect as long as you show the same respect for them, the community and the rules.

TL is very reliable, and it can be easy to seed on the there if you jump on new torrents right of way. Also, users are heavily involved in commenting on torrents. Great if you want to learn more about the quality of what you're about to get.

This is Tracker is the King of the Hill for your run of the Mill torrent downloader.

Apart from a few of the Unspoken Sites this site represents pretty much as good as it gets unless you get into the torrents pretty heavily and get a few rare invites into top echelon.

Pre Times are excellent
Speeds are excellent
Content is great ( if you want to get a classic , i downloaded Godfather 2 the other night , a 30 year old movie , its on TL, the speeds are as fast as if it was the latest blockbuster.
Has a huge database of Movies, TV , Packs, Games ,Retro movies , apps etc etc

Sometimes it can be Information overload their is that much stuff being posted

Has a time delay for downloading when first joined up but its easy enough to maintain a decent ratio

I'm sure most people are already members here, And the above posts already describe how great TL is. But I just want to add my recommendation too. For anyone starting out in the torrent world, This is a great general tracker for everything from Games, Movies, TV, to Music.

i would be pleased if a TL member could say something about the client rules on TL?

for movies HD-Torrents is best,but TorrentLeech is best for rest...!:D

I heard they're preparing to change their interface soon, ı hope it'll be good.

Been a user for over 3 years. Just recently decided to expand my tracker base to IPT and HDMe. Have to say that neither compares to TL in speed so far, though they do have some movies that TL does not have.

This is one awesome general 0 day tracker! Has great pre times, and fantastic speeds. It's also relatively easy to seed there provided that you have a seedbox.
