I'd just like to say a few things as a recent member. For one thing all of the rips are of really high quality and low on size. This place is perfect for those who value a compromise of both. I'm gonna pretty much replace the movies i do have with whatever i can get from here, and i'm a total stickler when it comes to quality.

Freeleech is easy to find here. They have movies of the week that are freeleech and they have good speeds when you can jump on it on time. The user base is kinda low, so if you're looking for a specific movie and it's lacking on seeds, you can throw up a request for one as soon as you hit power user status.

Basically i really like this site and it's amazing (shitty) that fewer people belong to a place here. It's become a favorite of mine.

    My favorite tracker!
The size is low and the quality is in top just like TheLetterZ said.
It is just not that good, that there not are that many people, but almost everyone is doing something good for the tracker, so it is a nice place to be in :)

Interesting. After preparing and being on vacation for half a week, I've realized how much of a pain it is to have the majority of my movie collection in 1080p. I planned to use my netbook on this entire trip, but I had to go back and re-download movies I wanted to watch in mkv/avi/720p in order for my netbook to decode them properly.

Could someone please be more specific regarding the activity at this tracker? I understand the tracker is fairly new and there are few members, but what kind of seeders/leechers ratio would we see on newly releases and older releases? How long before a new torrent dies off? Are there permanent seeders?

Looks like there are freeleeches, but could someone be more specific? Do they only last for one specific week before being replaced by a new movie of the week or do they remain freeleeches? Are there packs? If so, are they freeleeches?

Requests. Looks like the request section is gold here if you're a power user. How quickly are requests filled? I assume they offer some kind of incentive for the filling party. If so, what are they?

Also, what kind of speeds are you getting? Could I easily max out a 100 Mbit connection? 1 Gbps connection? Are most seeders seedboxers?

And there's quality. I understand the principal objective, but how much of a sacrifice on quality are we seeing? Easiest way to see this is if someone is willing to post the stats (bitrate and all) for a few of their most seeded movies. Two should be plenty. I suggest MediaInfo. If someone doesn't mind downloading that and pasting all the info under View > in text-formated. Perfect!

Finally, community. How is it? Forums? IRC? I don't care all that much about it, but it would be nice to go onto either the forums or IRC and ask some simple questions. The last time I checked, their entire IRC server seems completely dead. There were only 6 members in the main channel and 2 or 3 in the support channel. I joined irc.bit-united.com. Is it usually this dead or have they relocated?

Anyways, I don't expect people to answer all my questions in a readable, organized fashion, but if you do a +rep is waiting for you. Thanks and much appreciated.

Ok, i will try to answer all your question or at least the majority of them :

--- at the begining i was excited about this tracker, i mean it's every mHD torrent-downloader's dream... you'll find good releases there, but to be honest in the first weeks i almost lost my account... and this due to the weak activity of seeder/ leecher ratio on the tracker :

** as you can see, even now it is unbalanced... even with a seedbox, in a weeks time, i barely managed to get it to a 1:1 ratio... it's like no one would download, or barely download the movies uploaded there...the tracker, although new, due to its content has about 2700+ active users, although the user classes give another no...downloading is not a problem here, and yes there are some permanent seeders, but uploading is a motha f***... but this happened to me, i don't know about the others, because the stats say that the ratio is about 21 :

--- the freeleech system is specific, not like **'s for a day, and not like TPB's for days/ weeks...although a couple months ago the whole site went Berskerk on freeleech for quite some time..the freeleech criteria : files larger than 2GB - 2GB+ ( movies, tv series ) ... the number of freeleech torrents is quite good 248 out of 746 active torrents.

    --- the request page :

** as you can see there aren't so many requests... and the oldest one is from 03/31 and yet to be filled... even the stats say that it is a good filling %

about the incentive part, i couldn't find a thing, but any other member could come up and state otherwise, if they find something about it...

--- without the speedbox i had different speeds depending on the torrent...with the seedbox, sometimes it maxed out ( 100 mb connection )...so this is a subjective view...

--- when it comes to the forum activity i honestly didn't payed any attention... but it seems that users there are quite active : you have the usual forum plus the an Area 51 section, much similar to our own. last time i've checked the IRC channel was dead too, with no more than 4 members, 3 of them idling.

--- this is a page with their most downloaded torrents:

and with the most seeded torrents :

I will try to answer your questions as specific as I can mate. I understand that you would like to know more about it as it is new to the torrenting world.

Seeders/Leechers ratio: There are best seeders on the best movies, but allmost all of the movies are seeded. there are moore seeders than leechers, and some members have ratios over close to 700 or 1.000 and if a torrent dies off, allmost the time you will have to wait for the movie to be up and alive again is an hour. so there is permanent seeders and people seeds really good, cause they are really conserned about the seeder/leecher ratio.

A new addition to the site is movie of the week. where a movie will get selected and it will be freeleech for a week. then there are permanent freeleech movies. all of the movies with a size over 3gb. All of the collections are freeleech too, and just some movies the administrators think should be freeleech.

Requests are filled almost instanly. I have had some requests that was filled in under 10 minnutes, others will be filled in 1 hour or so. rare times there will go longer than 3-5 hours.

I don't know about seeds. but I max out my speeds and get 2mbs. so if another with a better internet speed could post that, it would be great.

The quality of the movies are awesome. I can dl mediainfo, but the encoders always provide nfo's for the movies.
I will provide the nfo's and if you want to see screens I can upload that as well.

The forum is a very friendly place. I think you should ask the questions in the forums, cause most people do not use the irc-channel (not a thing I like, cause I like to be on the irc-channel).

But all in all it is a very good tracker and if you want my answers too be more specific in some places just ask and I will try to make it that way.

And the last thing, you can not upload your own encodes and something like that to the tracker. It is only the United encodes posted on HD-united.com you can upload to the site. but it is fine enough, for the movies are in so good quality.

Screens of some of the movies:

And a comparison of the encoders work and the original source

Thanks guys. I appreciate you taking a bit of your time to answer the majority of my questions. MediaInfo work wonders. People should use it more often in their NFOs.

From the looks of things, this seems like a promising tracker, but the activity here is really lacking. The most seeded torrent have just over 30 seeders and the second most just exceeds 15. This isn't good for users looking for older, unpopular movies. Although, the request section appears to be fairly decent. I assume users are satisfied with this feature.

The main reason why anyone would want this tracker is for its compromise between quality and size. Most HD-enthusiasts would scoff at the idea; obviously saying there is no such compromise between the two, but from the stats, the video appears to be decent for its size. Yes, you will lose a ton of quality, seeing how their encodes hovers around ~2800 Kbps, but it's definitely better than most scene avi/mkv rips you see of this particular size.

This looks like a tracker I might want to join later in the future. Although, It might be difficult for the tracker to stay afloat if activity doesn't pick up soon.

@ el2em - I have written a mini review of this tracker in the vip section - here. Let me know if you'd like to get in.

All I can say is that this tracker doesn't have as much activity as I would like, or the activity it deserves for its caliber. Which is a pity really. It's probably the only tracker that I could download a file blindly without worrying about quality. The next best quality you would get are the untouched blu ray/HD files.

You shouldn't have problems downloading any new or freeleech files - new files are usually hosted on seedboxes (occasionally not - say if the file is uploaded by a non - regular uploader i.e. usually a member who uses a slower home connection, but this isn't often) so you do get good speeds. There are older torrents that have lesser or no seeds but I've requested reseeding a couple of times and someone's always responded and I've gotten my file.
