    :: UndergroundGamer ::

Let me begin by saying that is just like any other games tracker...same design, same old, same old...I think one of the sponsors for this tracker is bG, which makes this bG's little b%#ch. But anyway, let's move on, this tracker has about 38000+ registered members and about 9500+ active torrents, at least from their stats, ripped out, because at the time of this review is made, free sign up is on. Although it is just like any other ( games ) tracker, the most annoying thing for me is the wiki links for rules, faq so on and so forth...UG’s torrents are not only limited to PC games; you can find games for many consoles, including XBOX360, PSX and even for some of the older game consoles as well. Apart from games. you can download bonus content such as official game guides, consoles hacks, console emulators and even gaming magazines through UG.

Overall, i think it's a good tracker, from what i saw you can find just about everything ( at least in the search area ), or like it happened to me, when i couldn't find the Forums section...maybe on this tracker gamers don't chat...yeah, like that would happen ! UG is an excellent alternative to those who cannot access high level trackers such as BCG, so it would make a nice addition to all you gamers out there...

Only classic games can be uploaded to UG and that's what makes this site unique. By theis standards a game is classic if it was released in 2002 or earlier.

If you enjoy playing classic games UG is the tracker for you!

UG is bG's sister site, and not bG's "b%#ch"

It's like any other games tracker? How so? Are you even a member in UG?

You see while sites like bG, for example, track only new games which are easily obtainable trough all games trackers and most of the general trackers, UG tracks OLD, classic games.

UG’s torrents are not only limited to PC games; you can find games for many consoles, including XBOX360, PSX and even for some of the older game consoles as well. Apart from games. you can download bonus content such as official game guides, consoles hacks, console emulators and even gaming magazines through UG.

    You are spreading misinformations.

Where to start, for PC games and most of the other content there is so called "safe year", current safe year is 2002. That means the original date of release must be before January 1, 2003.

Where did you saw Xbox360 game in UG? In UG doesn't allow Xbox or PlayStation 2 games so how could there be Xbox360 games?

CLICK HERE for full screenshoot of their safe consoles list.

I couldn't find the Forums section...maybe on this tracker gamers don't chat...yeah, like that would happen !
Forum is there and people are pretty active.

UG is an excellent alternative to those who cannot access high level trackers such as BCG, so it would make a nice addition to all you gamers out there...
This is misleading, UG is not and cannot be considered an alternative for BCG or any other "ordinary" games tracker.

There was a lot of games I couldn't find anywhere else (this includes both private and public trackers and various other sites) and I found them in UG.

So people, if you are looking for classic games UG is place for you, but if you are looking primary for great graphics in games and don't really care about gameplay and gaming history then it would probably be best for everyone if you'd avoid UG completely and tried to get in bG instead.

Having said all that, sorry morpheuss, but I think that your review should be substituted with andi's, since his is better and more accurate.

UG is a cool site. People seem to prefer BcG but UG has more of the games I like. Not a member of BcG so i can't comment on the content there but UG has lots of the old classics. Just sayin'.

I found UG searching for old legacy console games / emulators. I must say this tracker is great if you are looking for old games, whether for the PC or consoles.

Bring on Atari and NES I feel like a kid again.

andi's review is much more accurate and that's the one you should read.

    Pros:
    * Very active community. The forums are lively with friendly members. They have a unique attribute called 'Spirit' which is sort of similar to Rep here at T-I. It's really fun seeing how high you can get your Spirit because they are associated with small avatars. (see attached image below)
    * More classic content than you can possibly imagine. If you played games as a kid, this site will overwhelm you with memories. I have gotten so many old games that I've forgotten about and am now able to relive those memories. The community is extremely helpful on helping you identify an old game that you may not remember the title of, and help you get classic games running on your new hardware.
    * Maintaining ratio is fairly easy. They have 'featured' torrents updated once a week which are free leech.
    * Once you get to Power User status, it's easy to gain invites.

    Cons:
    * There isn't any new game content from consoles like Xbox 360, PS3, or new PC games. There aren't even PS2 or original Xbox games. But, there isn't suppose to be. If you are looking for new games, you should be looking for a different tracker. However, they do often have game guides for newer games.

UPDATE: They now alow original Xbox games, still no PS2.

BTW.. the 'Spirit' goes up to like 5,000 so there are a ton more avatars to unlock.

Interesting review. I hadn't heard much of UG in a while, it's nice to see that it's still active and flourishing.

Registration seems to always be open, however you can only register when there are vacant spots. Inactive accounts are pruned every 2 hours so if you are looking to join, the best time to try is a minute after every hour.

So far this is the only 'game' specific tracker I have , even tho I love it and I think you can honestly get games you won't find anywhere else, It is a little bit hard to seed , this is not a bad thing.. don't get me wrong but for someone without a seedbox be aware that It might be tough to start and get your ratio going.

But like I said I love this tracker

I appreciate it for exactly what it is, a place that kinda is the only place to get what they have. I have a great connection and upload like a beast but, for some reason on UG there can be 10 seeds and 40 leeches but, I won't upload for hours to any of them . This is the only tracker I have this issue with. I prefer way prefer BCG but, UG has things I want that no1 has so for that reason they r a great tracker to me.
