Thread: HD-Torrents (HD-T) Review

Gold freleech torrents are no longer available due to the huge number of Hit&Runs on them said the administrator. EDIT: They now have a few golden torrents. However there are many silver torrents (50% off), and many torrents to help you get a ratio.

It is very easy to maintain a ratio, even if you are a user with a low upload speed. The quality of the files is awesome, plus it is the place where Eureka HiDT upload. They also have all the applications you need to play HD videos on your PC, a variety of FLAC music that is increasing, and even anime.

One of the "drawbacks" of the site is the user classes and the fact that the credits are not counted per torrent, but rather whether you seed or not. You get one point per hour whether you seed 10 or 1 torrent. With 200 seeding hours you get 5 GB upload with 350, 10. 1000 credits give you an invite.

One also bad thing ( that's been discussed right below my reply ) is the fact that if an internal upload shows up ( Eureka's or HiDT ) all external uploads of the same movie get deleted.

If you want an HD tracker to start forget about hd-space or hdme or whatnot. HD-T is the place to start even if you have a low upload speed.




I highly recommend this tracker.

This was a good tracker, but when Eureka came, it became an AWESOME tracker.

I honestly don't know a better tracker for my HD needs.

The rule change mentioned above is pretty bad imo-now when internal encoded releases are put on there, they REMOVE non-internal releases. I just had another release of avatar that I was uploading removed due to a Eureka one being uploaded, and I gotta say I am not amused. All this does is cut down on the amount of choice, which is always a bad thing.

I don't necessarily agree with this.
The reason being is I'd rather make sure the torrent I'm downloading is a known high quality release then being wishy washy.
No complaints here.

Well, people already know that Eureka encodes are usually good, so then if they want to be assured of getting quality nothing is stopping them from choosing Eureka over the other releases, is there?

They also have another good Encoding Team,HiDT which mainly focuses on 720p releases.Although the new rules may appear wrong to some,i'm sure time will tell that they took the right decision.Eureka and Hidt mainly release big Hits and always better quality than the scene releases,there is still room for many other movie torrents

Really? I am doing it with 3 torrents and *thought* I was getting 3 points per hour. I assumed it would be the same for more points.

I just checked it ( and read a thread about it in their forums ), and it seems that you're right. I probably didn't notice it because I wasn't doing it with many torrents. I'll edit that part out and replace it with more info now that they've changed.
