It’s a specialized tracker with a humongous collection of books, audiobooks, sheet music etc. To be more specific, here is a brief description of the torrents that the site tracks:

:: GENERAL RULES

MyAnonaMouse.net General Rules

We have tried to make the rules simple and easy to follow. Do not over think them and do not look for loopholes. It is the spirit of the rules we enforce. This is not a democracy.

NO SWEARING, HATE SPEECH, RUDENESS, AGGRESSIVE OR OFFENSIVE BEHAVIOR IS ALLOWED.
You might get a warning or you might get immediately banned. If you are not sure if you should say something, do something or up something then don't. Your first instinct is probably the correct one so follow your gut or ask a staff member when in doubt. Staff decisions are final.

Do not create more then one account per person. If we spot duplicate IP addresses you will be banned. Do not also invite people who are living with you and using the same IP, please share the account in that case.

Do NOT put requests for reseed or seeding in the torrent comments section. That area is for a word of thanks, your opinion or recommendation of the material,etc. All requests for seeding or reseeding MUST go in the Reseeding Request section of the forum.


:: DOWNLOADING RULES
Access to the newest torrents is conditional on a good ratio! (See the FAQ for
details.)
* Low ratios may result in severe consequences, including banning in extreme
cases!
* Seed back for 48hrs or to a 0.5 ratio whichever comes first. Failure to carry out
this simplest of site rules will result in a warning and even a ban.
* **IMPORTANT** In addition to the rule for each torrent an Overall Ratio must be
maintained.You will be given a grace period of 4 days membership to get your
ratio up. After 4 days any member with a ratio below 0.3 will be warned and
possibly download disabled. At that point you will need a ratio of at least 0.7 or
higher to have the warning lifted and download rights reinstated if they have been
disabled. If at the end of your 1 week warning you have not reached a ratio of 0.7
then you will be warned a second and final time. You will be given 2 weeks to
reach a ratio of 1.0 in order to get the warning removed or download rights
reinstated. At this point if your account has not reached this ratio, it will be
disabled. Remember the goal of this community is sharing and all MUST
participate in order for the torrents to stay alive. Please remember whether
anyone is leeching from you or not you still gain bonus points which can then be
traded for upload credit.

GENERAL GUIDELINES

Torrent Descriptions
A descriptive torrent description is a must when uploading a torrent. A good description for your upload is important because at the very least it gives our members a rough idea what they are grabbing, but if done well it can be a good advertisement for your torrent and like all good advertisements, you get greater returns for your efforts.

Creating a Torrent
Two very important rules to follow when creating a torrent are:

• Make sure that DHT is disabled in your torrent client
• Private Torrent must be ticked in your torrent client
  
  NOT ALLOWED File Formats
  * Compressed File Formats - .rar, .zip, .iso, etc.
  * Unnecessary File Formats - .par, padding files, erroneous .nfo or .jpeg files, etc.
  * Executable File Formats - .exe, etc.
  * Files with references to other torrent sites, ie: 'this torrent downloaded from xyz.com'
  * Passworded files of any format.
  
  Naming of Torrents
  Although there will always be exceptions to these rules, you should follow the naming conventions below wherever possible. For formats not described below, use your common sense.
  
  Naming of Music-Related Torrents
  
  The torrent name format must be as follows:
  
  Composer's Name - Title of Piece
  
  Although not required, you could add extra information to the title such as:
  
  * Date of performance
  * Location of performance
  * Format e.g. AVI, PDF, MP3
  
  Examples of good torrent names include:
  
  Luciano Pavarotti and The Three Sopranos [19 June 1999] [VHSRip (XVid)]
  Puccini - Chiil Bel Sogno (La Rondine)
  Andrew Lloyd Webber - The Phantom of The Opera, Score and MP3
  
  
  Specific MUSIC TORRENT Category Guidelines:
  
  Sheet Music:
  Must be in the PDF format. If uploaded sheet music is not PDF, it belongs in the “All other Formats” section. Any accompanying mp3’s MUST be 128 kbps or higher. All other audio formats belong in the “All other Formats” section.
  
  Individual Sheet:
  Use when uploading a single sheet without anything else inside.
  
  Single Sheet and MP3:
  Same as “individual sheet,” but used when an mp3 is uploaded as well.
  
  Sheet Collection:
  Use when uploading many sheets in the same torrent. The sheets must be related somehow (example: by composer or style/genre)
  
  Sheet Collection and MP3:
  Same as “sheet collection,” but used when an mp3 is uploaded with the sheets.
  
  Guitar/Bass Tabs:
  Use when uploading tabs. They may be accompanied by an mp3 of the song.
  
  Music Book(s):
  A book related to music - may be a theory book, a method book, fake book, or an inspirational music novel
  
  Music Book MP3:
  Same as “Music Book” but used when mp3s are included.
  
  Personal Composition:
  Upload here if you want to share original music. It may be shared as PDF sheet music, MP3 audio, or video, or any combination of the three.
  
  Video
  Must be a video that is directly related to music - documentaries, reality television, etc. Videos MUST be AVI, Mpeg, Xvid, or DivX formats.
  
  Concert Videos:
  Use when uploading a live concert video (normal video format rule apply).
  
  Complete Editions:
  Use when uploading a complete mp3 collection of a classical composers’ works. Non-classical works are not allowed on the site. Bit rates must be at least 128kbps. Not a must to include the sheet music but if you have it, please add it.
  
  Personal Performance:
  Use when sharing a video and/or mp3 of yourself performing a piece you did NOT compose.
  
  Instructional Media:
  Any reference or instructional materials like videos, MP3's, PDF files.
  
  Not Allowed
  
  * Educational Music Software
  * Mp3, or any music albums without the accompanying sheet music
  * Application software, e.g. Sibelius, Finale, Guitar pro etc
  * Executable Files (.exe)
  
  
  AUDIOBOOK and EBOOK Posting Guidelines:
  
  All content is allowed, with the exception of pornography or erotica. Also NO comedian performances are allowed, however, an audiobook or ebook written by a comedian is allowed
  
  • If you have a radio performance or author interview those can be posted in the Radio Drama/OTR section
  Allowed Audiobook formats:
  • Mp3, OGG, M4A, WMA, M4B, AAC
  • If the audiobook format is something OTHER than MP3 include this in the
  torrent title.
  • If a book is abridged, this must be mentioned in the torrent Title or Small
  Description
  • Uploads must not be subject to DRM. (DRM-free means that the MP3 files you
  share do not contain any Digital Rights Management encryption that will restrict
  the use of the file.)
  • Duplicates of books already uploaded are allowed ONLY if contained within a
  collection OR if they are in a different format OR, for audiobooks, at a
  significantly higher bitrate. If you have a question about a particular book
  please submit a request to the staff box for approval.
  
  Ebook formats:
  • DOC, TXT, LIT, HTML, chm, PDF, pdb, djvu, lrf, RTF, PRC, JPEG, MOBI, EPUB are allowed.
  For other file types, please submit a request to the staff box for approval. Uploads of multiple file formats are allowed - please display the file types in the small description. If you have any questions regarding readers for the above file types please pm the staff box or come to irc.
  
  Comic/Graphic Novel formats:
  • CBR, CBZ
  
  All rules from the General Rules Section apply with the addition of the book specific rules listed below.
  
  ABSOLUTELY FORBIDDEN:
  • LOSSLESS files e.g. FLAC, APE (this applies to the audiobook section only).
  • Pornography or erotica. Please submit any questions you may have about
  this to the staff box.
  
  • From time to time representatives of certain authors may contact a site
  and request that their material be removed. For this reason uploads of
  these authors is forbidden: (please check back often as this list may
  be updated)

:: FORUM RULES
General Forum Guidelines - Please follow these guidelines or else you might end up with a warning!

* No language other than English in the forums.
* No swearing on this site. Doing so can and will get you a warning.
* No aggressive behaviour or flaming in the forums.
* No trashing of other peoples topics (i.e. spamming).
* No links to warez or crack sites in the forums.
* No requesting or posting of serials, CD keys, passwords or cracks in
the forums.
* No bumping threads (All bumped threads will be deleted.)
* No images larger than 800x600, and preferably web-optimized.
* No double posting. If you wish to post again, and yours is the last post
in the thread please use the EDIT function, instead of posting a double.
* Please ensure all topics are posted in the correct section. Mistakes

:: AVATAR GUIDELINES
* The allowed formats are .gif, .jpg and .png.
* Be considerate. Resize your images to a width of 150 px and a size of no
more than 150 KB. (Browsers will rescale them anyway: smaller images will
be expanded and will not look good; larger images will just
waste bandwidth and CPU cycles.) For now this is just a guideline but
it will be automatically enforced in the near future.
* Do not use potentially offensive material involving porn, religious
material, animal / human cruelty or ideologically charged images. Mods
have wide discretion on what is acceptable. If in doubt PM one.

User Classes

Something special about the tracker

When it comes to E-Learning/E-book sites they predominantly track educational content. My Anonamouse however is quite different from the these. It has a great collection of non-educational eBooks as well as comics. In addition to these, there are tons of other categories ranging from concert videos to instructional media.
Most of the indexed torrents on MyAnonamouse are non scene. A large portion of them are unique uploads and chances are that you won’t find them on other trackers. Apart from individual releases, torrent packs and collections are also available. It is a ratio based site (Seed back for 48hrs or to a 0.5 ratio whichever comes first). It has a bonus points system and free leech torrents and sometimes you get karma points when you register which you can exchange for upload or invites, like I did in my case.

Great review!
I use this tracker all the time and it is simply AMAZING if you're a musician.
Things are usually well seeded or you can make a request and get things running again (within 24 hrs in my experiences). Like the rules say this is a very friendly site and a lot of sharing and requests go one here. I couldn't even begin to count how much this site has helped/saved me time and money, just can't say enough good stuff about this tracker and the people on it.

I agree 100% the site is amazing for Audiobooks/novels and music resources!

This review is dead on, but it forgot the most important aspect of MA: the community! MA has the most friendly, fun community I've ever seen on a tracker site or many other kinds of sites. There are so many ways for you to get involved. There are often competitions, not of the "who can upload the most" kind, but fun ones like treasure hunts! The only bad thing I have to say about MA is that I wish the audiobook:ebook ratio was lower (i.e., more ebooks), but that's personal preference. If you're looking for a tracker that focuses on COMMUNITY, not hundreds of seeds, thousands of uploads, 0day/scene releases, and blazing speeds, MA is the place to be.

**Remember: you'll get a points hourly for seeding each torrent, not taking size in account!

Great bonus point system, it really helps when you leave your seeds open 24/7, you will have invites and can get bonus ratio so fast.

Plus, there are a ton of people who jump on every torrent, so uploading almost anything gets you ton of ratio. I had almost a TB within a month of joining.

This is one of my favorite trackers. I lover audiobooks and have not come across another site that can come close to the selection myanonamouse provides. There bonus/karma system is also great. Another great thing thing about this site is when I first signed up and introduced my myself in the forum I recieved 1500 karma points from members as a friendly jester to a new member. Great tracker. Great Community.
