If I'm lucky enough, I should be able to obtain an invite for this very interesting tracker...
Is it true that what.cd and waffles.fm originated from oink.cd?
If I'm lucky enough, I should be able to obtain an invite for this very interesting tracker...
Is it true that what.cd and waffles.fm originated from oink.cd?
Yes it is, both of these trackers appeared shortly after takedown of oink.
After some time there, i think i can review it.
Waffles.fm is a great tracker for any kind of music.
But they´re no specialized on one kind of music (So for example you want eletronic music , i can tell you that have other trackers with much more releases...)
I think they are specialized on "quality". Lots of FLAC and VBR MP3 , all with very good quality , scene or not.
But the "life" there is not easy !
It´s very hard to build a solid ratio there.I repeat...very hard !
It´s almost a obligation doing uploads there. If you dont have any to "share" there...you´re in trouble ! (and of course if you have...read the upload rules carefully there..)
Seedbox... it´s a must there too... (or have a very good connection) or your chances of surving will be reduced.
It´s difficult to share without a seedbox. Maybe you get a 1:1 at max on your upload because some user with a high speed seedbox will download and share your release, and you will never upload more data since he grabs all the clients because his high upload speed. (Happened to me...and i´m using a seedbox !!!!!)
Some bads:
- You can´t trust seeding/leeching numbers on the site.
So it´s terrible to "construct a ratio" without knowing this. They tell us that keep the "real" number will overload the server.
- For me, that i remember , is the most stricted rules about torrent clients (few allowed..even uTorrent have many versions not allowed)
- I dont like the bonus system. Very hard to obtain the bonus..they´re limited (so maybe when you have suficient point to do something..maybe this is over because they "sell out" all) and they´re very expensive.
So resuming:
- Waffles is a awesome tracker for those who have a massive collection of music (that no other have..so you have a chance of uploading all this content)
- Waffles is a awesome tracker for those who will share their content "forever and ever" (because one day you will have lucky to upload some data... Are we talking months ?? no...f-o-r-e-v-e-r !)
So it´s conclude my review.![]()
Thnx for Rellik and Forbidden
Two good souls !
Really great music tracker . Pretty easy to seed and keep a good ratio.
Also I love Waffles points system. It is really cool feature. You can buy freeleech, invites etc.
Are Waffles and What.CD more or less the same? I'll eventually be trying to get into one but I hear they are both good.
I prefer Waffles to What. It has a good top 10 feature, allowing you to see top 10 for different categories and time periods.
The interface and layout are great. I also like they uploading rules, restricted to select few types: V0, V2, 320 cbr and FLAC. They also allow scene releases, but the scene torrents are normally less active if there is another type available.
Its not only a music tracker. There is also E-learning and software. Because it is hard to keep a good ratio, these things are readily available and there is a huge selection. If I can't find software somewhere else Waffles usually has it.
there is no doubt waffles is one of the best for a music lover, i am a part of waffles
and really enjoying the life
thumbs up
