Thread: TorrentVault (TVLT) Review

I have just about every scene tracker there is... TV is definitely one of the best in terms of pretimes. If you have a chance, sign up.

TV has got one of the best developed irc autodownload scripts I've seen. It's highly customizable and very easy to use.

However, i find that TV pre's way too much spam and foreign releases for my taste and makes browsing a pain as spam releases are mixed in with regular releases. I've also found that the speeds I get on new torrents are no where near consistent, making their lack of dedicated gbit seedboxes painfully apparent. By dedicated, I don't mean a gbit box with 10 guys on it.

TV is a good starting place if you're new to private trackers and want a decent 0day site, but it does not even compare to the likes of SCC.

Look out for this tracker it has more content than TL, pre-times are the best. Since they changes over to the gazelle script they have become a very sought after tracker. It's far more than a beginner tracker and now it's invite only. I love this tracker if TL or TVTorrents does not have what I want I go here and they have it..As far as foreign films content that has to be one of the most lame comments I heard you can just change your settings so they do not show up!

It should be open soon I heard. A lot of excellent modifications are going on now. I have to say this tracker is becoming the best all around tracker out there. Already I preferred over Torrent leech and it has way more content also. It's also has a growing close community something like TL never had more like SCC but better than SCC by far IMO.

Freeleech? Did someone say that there was freeleech on TorrenVault? Well if that's so, I haven't been able to find any... I think the only other "ratio help" the site offers, is their irc idle bonus. I think it's currently about 20 megs an hour.

This is outstanding, best ever pre-times.

I think only some special torrents have freelech...

Only three months I ago, TV was one of my favorite places. Then as stated in one of the earlier posts, slow speeds on new torrents have started to become extremely apparent. I don't know if dedicated seeders are moving to another tracker or what, but the speed factor is not what it used to be.

Pretimes are still fairly decent so I'll have to credit the tracker on that behalf.

There are also numerous dead torrents. Most of which were uploaded when the gold system was premature. Now that all those smaller files aren't credited towards your gold count, no one's seeding them any longer.

Too many floods of MP3s/Apps/ebooks are also incredibly annoying. You usually have to sift through all that to find something decent to download. I know you could sort the categories, but I'd rather have the browse split up like SCC where MP3/Apps are in a section of their own.

Freeleech was abundant when ScT went down and TV had to do something to get users to stay. Now that the community have saturated and members are settled, it seems freeleeches are only set on popular torrents after a week or so of its pretime. They're usually staff picks as well.

The Market have been down for quite a long time as well. I know it's being revamp, but damn, that's a long time. Hopefully, it's actually worth the wait and, hopefully, it's not the same thing but with a few added items.

I do agree with its customizable IRC autodownloading script. It's simple to use, does the job well, and as stated extremely customizable.

I also found myself only using the tracker to download music videos, but now that I've been invited to MVid, I have been using the site less and less. Hopefully things picks up and it becomes the tracker I once adored.
