Awesome-HD is a pretty new tracker with only High Definition content. It was created by one of the encoders in EuReKA and a few others. It's runned by them and mods.EuReKA used to release on BiT-HDTV, but stopped because they felt the staff there didn't defeat bad behaviour of some members. Instead of constructive critzism, EuReKA felt they received a shitload of negative comments from some members. Hence, they got tired of it and started a new tracker. First, the tracker was really, really ugly but many users still became members because of the content; the EuReKA releases. Then, the database crashed(or something like that) and upload, ratios etc went gone. A few weeks after this, they opened up the tracker again with a new design and gazelle instead of TBdev. And yes, ratios and everything went gone this time too, but former members got 50GB+ to start with.

Since it's gazelle, there's no real categorys as far as I can see, but instead you sort by resolution, free leech, bluray/hddvd, special edition, movie, xxx etc. There's also tags like adventure, action, scifi etc.
It's mostly 1080p, the 720p on the tracker can be found on other trackers and it's mostly porn. At the moment, the tracker has a couple of internal encoders/releasegroups: BTT, xander, eViAN (MR, JP, Danio merged to this) and EuReKA. I've also seen some other groups that I've never heard of, but I don't know if they're internal or not, there was no FL on their releases so I had to assume they weren't. They have really strict upload rules regarding quality, hence there's not so much torrents but they're all in superb image&sound quality. manila, wspa
Something special about the tracker:
They have a random-torrents button. It's pretty much self-explanatory...When pressing, a random torrent shows up. They also have a great unseeded-torrents-notification-system; when a torrent that you've snatched has a low amount of seders(dunno how they count, would gess -5 or -3), you're notified of this so that you can seed it if you still have it. This is a great way to support the tracker and get a ratioboost(you'll always be there when the next leecher comes).
I think the tracker is very good for those that are after superb quality on mainly movies but sometimes whole seasons of TV-shows. You should only try to get an invite here if you like EuReKA or non-scene 1080p. Otherwise, if you're mainly into 720p, there's other HD-trackers with more stuff. Awesome-hd will never have as much torrents at other big HD-trackers, but that's pretty much what this tracker is about: Quality before Quantity.
