    Default BitSpyder (BS) Review

I'm going to be updating all trackers that I have and that haven't been reviewed for a long time. The last review for this site was 12-05-2007, 10:35 PM.

BitSpyder is one of the best E-learning tracker currently online. With over 23000 members and 8400+ active torrents, it’s one of the largest trackers catering this niche as well.

Thanks for the review lionel much appreciated, from a personal point of view I would consider their staff to be anything but professional. I have been to many IRC channels and I have also got some good invites directly from the staff members (like for TD and BCG).

However Bitspyder was the only site that actually asked me to leave should I not have a 1tb upload ratio on any other site. It reminds me of the path FF has taken in the past couple of months.

Nevertheless I thought I'll post this so that other users take care when accessing their IRC channels for invites etc.

I had a very bad experience with the BitSpyder staff too, especially with Wothanaz (rude, callous attitude) and Panther (barely able to communicate properly, childish attitude).

I remember I lost my pass. I went back in there 3-4 times and I just left. When I went to check my email, I got a password reset confirmation email. I think they need to give mods the ability to reset passwords or allow users to reset them because only admins can do that.

Its so tough to seed over here.I am having difficulty after having a 100mb seedbox.Dont think of this site unless you have a extremely fast seedbox and a commitment to buffer your account.

Personally, did not like the site much.My 2 cents though.

Problem with bitspyder is that 90% of their elearning material is for PC stuff. I don't really care to learn about linux or windows or whatever so Bitme is definitely better for me.

You know, I actually like this site better than BitMe.

Don't ask why though, but I just do :P

Maybe cause of the nice User Interface or something. I don't know

    Just my $.02:

I have hung out in their IRC a LOT. They have a lot of turnover in IRC just requesting accounts with really low ratios and such. I can sort of see how that would get irritating over months and months.

That said, I can echo the sentiment that the staff is not very professional. Mods on the channel routinely get into fights with new guest in IRC and ban them for no reason. Mods even compete with each other at times (I have seen one particular mod get banned a handful of times for abusing his power).

Dont let them know you aren't a member off the bat: surefire way to be banned.

Each of the members has their own membership req'ts, some stricter than others. If you are requesting in IRC, you better have at least 3 non-public tracker ratios ready with at least 2-3:1 ratio. Most people wont even talk to you without this minimum req't.

Most of the members are nice if you are super nice at first. Many are in the IT field and you can get into many conversations about interesting IT subjects...if you don't get randomly banned first.

Bottom line: if you can deal with members' bullshit for a while and you have a lot of 'street cred' on other trackers, you should be fine. If you are new to the private scene, you better build up your reputation before even giving BS a shot.

I also prefer Bitspyder to bitme, though I have never had any reason to talk with their staff or anyone or anything.
