Tracker Description:
The new HD-UNiT3D tracker is the next step in the life of the UNiT3D, a P2P group that has been releasing quality HD encodes in one form or another for several years.

UNiT3D is committed to releasing high quality x264 encodes with a perfect balance between filesize and quality thanks to its team of skilled encoders. UNiT3D releases encodes that are of the same quality as scene encodes, but with smaller filesizes because their encoders take the time to treat each encode individually, rather than aiming to be the first to pre a release and they often use Untouched Bluray or Remux as sources.

UNiT3D was born in 2007 on WBB and has since moved onto hd-bb.org, hd-united.com and then whattheflac.me before its latest incarnation on hd-united.vn. In 2010 UNiT3D provided a private tracker that has been previously reviewed here, bit-united.com, unfortunately this was taken down due to hosting problems.

Bit-UNiTeD (UNiT3D) Review

UNiT3D tries to replicate the bd experience in both 720p & 1080p res. They were the first to create m720p & are the 1st to create new 720p or super 720p with at-least 3K bitrate & 640kbps audio.


480p encodes have typical bitrates of about 1200kbps for video and six channel AAC at 256kbps for audio. 720p encodes have typical bitrates of about 2900kbps for video and six channel AC3 at 384kbps or 640kbps for audio. However, this is variable depending on what movie is being encoded and how much bitrate the encode requires.


UNiT3D also releases 1080p encodes for blockbusters. 1080p is created with replicating BD experience in mind, so size does not matter; hence sometimes our 1080p releases are bigger than other scene/p2p groups. Most of the time, UNiT3D encodes are smaller than other scene/p2p groups thanks to our highly skilled encoders.

The tracker is in its infancy after it's relocation from a shared DDL forum to it's own torrent tracker. There are under 100 members, the majority of which are staff and donators. Donators are given an invite and encouraged to use it to invite other strong members or ex-United dontators. The tracker is trying to reach an annual goal, of which it is 90% there, so that monthly worries do not occur, and members don't have to be "guilted" to re-donate each month. Once the donation limit is reached, the invite system will re-open for about 1000 members to apply.


Downloading is as easy and as fast as other trackers. United uses the same tracker software as Beyond-HD, so people will be very familiar with it's style and layout. The UNiT3D team release their content from a seedbox/vps, so speeds are great for downloaders. Member uploads are a mix of seedboxes and local uploads, but once their are around 3 seeders, speeds for these downloads are improved. They have seed bonus system & freeleech so members with low upload speed can still survive.
The tracker already has almost 11TB of information in traffic which are about 320 active torrents and more are uploaded each day by the gifted staff of UNiT3D.


Running a seedbox is encouraged given the nature of peer-to-peer. You don't have to worry about your local speeds or ISP rules, and seeding will boost your ratio so that you can earn points. Points can also be won using the betting system. Sport betting was something the community enjoyed on the original HD-UNITED forum before the BREIN take down, so it's a popular feature and a fun way of getting yourself extra points. The points can be used for downloading, purchasing invites etc.


Freeleech periods at the moment are normally given at random, during holiday periods, for example. When the tracker opens for invite applications, free leech periods will likely be given to specific genre's for that month or period. For example, this summers "super hero" blockbusters in the theatres may mean that Marvel/DC movies will be free leech on the tracker. Or during Halloween, horror movies may be free leech. Currently, the free leech system is undecided as efforts are being concentrated on community and tracker development.

Well it's open at the moment. I just joined and it seems to be nice tracker with their own releases. About 400 torrents. Couple of months old.
