Tracker Description
HDFrench-Zone.com, born one year ago from the fusion of historical tracker HDFrench and its little brother HiDef-Zone, created by the team of the first.
Code and design developped/created in internal, IPB (under license) for the tracker and HD forums.

Infrastructure :
- 1 test server (paid by a staff member),
- 1 host server (paid with your contributions) : 1 Xeon 2.4Ghz, 2GB DDR2, 3x73GB SCSI RAID5,
- Some associated services for security and else,
- 185 € / month

Contents :
French HD : movies, animated, live concerts, audio (FLAC), series, rip, Full Bluray discs, remuxes. VOSTFR series are allowed to the condition that a French or Quebecian version doesn't exist. VF/VQ & VOSTFR movies.
720p, 1080i, 1080p, FLAC and that's all. Codecs : flac, x264, AVC, VC-1

Hi,
are the movie exclusively in French or do they also offer "multi" version (English + TRUEFRENCH/VFF)?
I'm a bit confused with the user class system. I understand that you have upload 2000Gb of data (plus ratio > 6) to be able to download 1080p content. Am I correct?

I'm not a member but from what i read (i'm french), 1080p is only the name of the class. You can download 1080p content with any class but you have different waiting times before downloading a new torrent depending on your class.

480p class : 24h wait
576p class : 12h wait
720p class : no waiting time

You have to reach 576p class to be able to configure the site the way you want too (i bet there are skins and other things you can modify).

Hey chouchou,

If you want to make an intro, follow this link.

Read the topic well and then start your intro by clicking on "Create an introduction using this form", at the bottom of the page.

You will find invites in the "free invites" section once you're introduced there (10%)
you will be able to make a request for HDFrench-Zone when you reach 33%.

You can find all the details about user ranks here

Invites for HDFZ are rare though.

If you need a little help in French, i can help you (send me a pm)

Hmmm... I like the occasional French movies albeit I need English subtitles to go with it.....

Question:

1) Is there an option to navigate the site in English?
2) For French HD movies releases.... do they include English subtitles? If not, do the post mention if there's no English subtitles for the upload?

Hi ganninia,

1) I didn't find anything provided by HDFZ to navigate in English. You could use Google Translate to translate the whole page but if there are grammatical errors (yes it's common on the web), Translate will crap out.

That said, sometimes, they translate their announcements on the home page and they also made a topic in English to explain the rules and some other concepts to English natives (link is in the homepage).

The staff itself and other members can help you too.

2) The majority of the movies shared here are either in full french without subtitles, original language with french subtitles and some of them only feature the original language without subtitles. I'm sure subtitles can be found on the web for some movies though.

Thanks for your input..... really really appreciate it....

Well I guess this site ain't for me then.... it's gonna be too much of a hassle to navigate/leech/etc.... and then maybe GIYF everywhere for the English subs.... probably may have to resynch the framerate of the subs myself too....
