IrishTorrents is a small irish tracker that only allows irish or irish interest content on its tracker. They are quite strict about this.Irish torrents has Tv shows from Irelands main Tv company RTE 1 and 2, plus the Gaelic channel T4. The tracker has also Irish flims and music and e books dealing with Irish content only. Some BBC stuff with irish content is here as well. UTV is covered as well. Its very good tracker for Rugby games, hurling and Irish football. Private tracker never opens for registrations, it relies on invites only for new members.

Invite System
They dont give much away as to how they work out the invites but if you ask for them they are willing to oblige if they are used well. Also you get two invites once you join. Periodically invites are handed out though how often is confusing.

I personally love irishtorrents. Its a small community but the content is great and is really unique. For your irish media, music films old and new. Ebooks are plentiful and you really can find anything irish that you could possibly want here. Staff are nice, any time i had a issue for staff i was answered swiftly and politely. Quite rare these days. I put this down to the small userbase.

Irc is empty apart from a select few, this is likely down to the small userbase. If you have any interest in irish content, from hurling matches to gaelic football to old movies to the wolfe tones then irishtorrents is for you.
Seeding is ok if you seed long term. If you dont look after your ratio then you wont last long. There are not too many seedbox users either so everyone gets a chance to seed back. You can always upload too, any ebooks from your library etc. I was able to track down an old film and upload it at over 3gb. It had over 25 snatches and made me some great buffer. They have recently added a chatbox on the home page which sees a lot more action than the irc. So to sum it up , in my opinion ,
Community:7/10, small userbase means not as much activity as your bigger sites but there is a dedicated hardcore group who spend time here.
Speed : 6/10, you will get what you want reasonably fast, there are not many seedboxes but this is not necessarily a bad thing as the seeding is shared out amongst everyone which in turn keeps everyone in good ratio
Content : For what it is Irishtorrents is unique and therefore it gets a 10/10 as no other tracker can come close for irish content.Over 9,940 torrents Irish related. Brilliant
Rarity : Quite rare as there is only 3,355 users and only 5,000 places.
Overall : Unmissable if you are Irish, an ex pat or have irish blood in you somewhere. Just make sure and treat this site with the respect it deserves. Most torrents are still seeded, requests are often filled at over 75% and reseeds are there to help if needed.

Im an irish student and im intersted in this, im in pass Irish for my Leaving Cert but i would love to see some of the ebooks
