I have also heard many warnings about TL. My seedbox provider actually started publishing warnings to users suggesting they avoid TL due to heavy monitoring...

With such a an extremely large userbase and ease of access I'm not really surprised at all. TL along with IPT are really good trackers but I may have to drop them sometime in the near future with this stuff going on.Originally Posted by crazycanuk

Glad I read this review. It was my first private tracker, and because of the difficulties getting ratio up, I bit the bullet and finally got a seedbox. So there's an extra layer of security there. However its only an extra layer, not foolproof so I guess I'll be looking elsewhere for a main torrent site. Mind you, the same things have been said about IPT so I guess I'll be reading and re-reading reviews lol.

It's the first tracker i used :) but it's amazing tracker
I love it but sometimes I find very popular torrents unavailable there. Like current episodes of shows on TV sometimes won't appear until days or weeks after being shown on TV and they tend not to remove earlier versions of torrents. Like if a torrent of a movie is uploaded with bad sound and a 2nd version with the correction is put up, the first one will stay up causing confusion.
I also cannot figure out how to get asked to be an uploader because I'm very big into converting and have a lot of success of converting mkv files into avi on demonoid as many people (especially those who stream videos to their xbox 360) perfer avi's. I also tend to have many high bitrate (320 kbps) music files which are also unavialable on TL but available on public sites. Very frustrating.

From what I understand you are looking for a tracker where you can upload your own content to support the community. That is not what TL tries to offer. It is a pure scene tracker, which only allows certain releases that are approved and uploaded by especially assigned uploaders. They also try to get these releases out as fast as possible while maintaining a huge archive of older releases.
I'd suggest you to look for a more community oriented tracker, where any releases are allowed, even self encoded user uploads. The Tracker reviews here can help you with the search, as well as the help section.
how does TL compare to SCC/HDC/CHDBits
TL is a general tracker while HDChina and CHDBits are HD trackers for movies and series. It always helps to read the first page with the review of any given tracker mate, all reviews here in T-I are thorough.
