Tracker Introduction:

ThePokerBay is a poker video related tracker that dates back to 2006. They offer video related poker material only (even though there is a section for Poker Books, there are no torrents listed in that section at the moment). Most of this video related content is poker programming that appears on TV or the web. As such, most of the videos here have well known poker pros playing in them. Educational Videos by big name players are also included here, but selection is very low.

Review : ThePokerBay certainly has some positives, but it certainly has some negatives as well.

The good news is that if a poker show is on TV or the web, that show will be showing up on the site quickly (usually day after...there aren't any hardcore scenesters working on poker shows). They have a few guys there who are known to rip these shows and they have proved to be very reliable. Seeding and maintaining a good ratio after grabbing these torrents is not difficult. Just leave them seeding for a while and you shouldn't have a problem.

The bad news is that ThePokerBay is notorious for having issues with their servers, and therefore the site can be down for days or even weeks at a time. Just this year there have been several 2 week periods where no access is available. During this time, the admins don't let the users know when the site will be back, so one just has to keep checking back. Also, some of the older torrents have few seeders, so don't expect to grab older shows in mere seconds. Set them and leave them for a little while and they should be ready.
