This is definitely my favorite tracker that Im in right now. They have all the music I could want. Should be a power user real soon, cant wait to see the invite forums!
It's not much different from Waffles' invite forum if you have access to that.
What.cd is probably the first tracker I've been on, where I have absolutely no idea what to do with my invites. I think what's covered in the interview should be learnt by heart by all members, and even if a friend asked me for an invite, I would refer them to the interview procedure.
Just wanted to say to everyone for the great info and reviews. Being a die hard music aficionado I think I will need to look into this tracker.
I hear ya... I'll never give out an invite to What.cd unless it's somebody I know can contribute something to the community. I feel like a hypocrite because I got mine from a random person on on another site. It's my favorite tracker though and I heard if you invite somebody who cheats or fucks up the whole invite tree gets banned. I'm all set with that!Originally Posted by Malevich

I don't know why people kept complaining about the interview, it's not that hard, and in my opinion, it is reasonable as hell, and i strongly agree that if you deserve the content what.cd has to provide, knowledge is definitely required. it's essential, not in that tracker, but in music in general.
I had to go through the interview as well when I was looking for a substitute for Oink. Not sure how much the interview changed since then, but I remember straying off from the actual questions and having a decent chat with one of the staffers. Haha. Good times.

A pity they banned my country from Irc, so I cannot take the interview.
I can only get in with an invite, unless they modify the ban list after a while...
