Tracker :
Music-Vids is the best dedicated tracker for music videos out there in the BT world. Music-Vids is a great tracker with a really good community. Invites only go out to VIPs or above and they are very hard to come by. It's a TBDEV based tracker. There are over 2300 registered users and over 45k torrents as of 5/1/2011. From all of those torrents, the amount of dead torrents is like ~ 3100. That means most torrents have at least one seeder and most of them are well seeded. So you can jump into old torrents without being worried.

Survive :
Keeping a good ratio is I'd say moderate. If you don't have a decent Internet connection or can't afford a 24/7 connection such as a server or so-called seedbox, then you may experience some sort of difficulties like seeding torrents, making a decent buffer, keeping an appropriate ratio. When that happens, then your best shot is uploading contents to the tracker. There is no such user class as uploader. Every user can be able upload torrents, fill requests.

There are 7 different stylesheets. I'm gonna use the default stylsheet which is really cool.

They are giving you the chance to sort the browse page in various ways, such as

Forums :
Forums are pretty much active. They have a great community there. There are few hidden threads in forums which will unlock when you get promoted to higher user classes. Tutorials, help threads are really useful. There are many different topics there that can be put to good use.



Invite system :
Mainly there are 3 user classes which can have invites. In order to receive invites, you have to be at least a VIP. Then you will get one invite per month. Amount of the invites depends on the VIP status. In order to become a VIP you have to donate to the site. Check the donation page for more details. Also VideoHolic and VideoLegend user class users also receive invites per month. These two user classes are given to the users
by admins/sysop.

Freeleech :
yes. They offer freeleech torrents but not often. They have named those torrents as golden torrents. When you see this kind of an icon at the torrent then that means, that torrent is free to be leeched. Grab it then seed it. That's all.

You are gonna need a key to get into the main channel because a lot of non members are trying to idle in the main and try to get invited and to prevent from that they provide a key to the existing members. You can find the key from here.

Overall a great tracker filled with general, common, exclusive contents, good speeds, active community. Most requests are replied, filled quickly. If you are a real enthusiast of music videos, live shows, particular encodes then this is the right place for you. More new contents are getting added everyday. Even you can find the same content in different formats as well. They are also guiding step by step how a content and which manner should be uploaded, find the bitrates, codecs..... of a particular video and there are some few other useful details as well.

This is one of my favourite trackers. You can find anything and everything here. I found a lot of live performances here which are real gems. Surviving i believe will not be difficult if you can seed for long times.

Do they have a lot of High Def videos that aren't just youtube rips? I love music videos and want more but all tpb has are youtube rips and i want to know if Music-Vids is worth trying to get invited.

Not a member of Mvids however looking at the screenshot of contents, it appears the content is more than youtube rips.

I was thinking more of recent and HD, you never know what you'll get with old mpeg videos. I'm just kind of hoping there's some insider fans helping the community out with high quality rips.

this tracker really is the best tracker in music videos ..
but it's really hard to seed there.

MV is an outstanding good tra-cker with a video collection that litterally blows you away,.

You cant relate the quality-content to youtube standard, the majority of videos is VOBs in +200mb.

this is with out a doubt, best in genre and one of my primary & most cherise sites mainly due to i cant find the content anywhere else.
Also cherise sites like Nxtgn / SceneHD / What / ScienceHD, because they supply what Im looking for, but most of the content i would & could find on some of my secondary sites.
But that is not the case with MV, they are truely one of a kind..

If you love music-videos in good quality´ this is heaven..

Anyone know of any ways to get membership other than by invi tes? They seem to be horribly rare, even around here. I read somewhere that they were accepting new members through other trac ker sites' forums but not sure. I'd really like to get in to mvids but the question still remains about how.
