Baudolino by Umberto Eco - Eco's style is incredibly dense and scholarly, but its full of energy, wit, and can be quite touching. It's a truly fantastic book that I very much recommend.
I'm also reading The Borgias by G.J. Mejer - so far, it's a pretty good read. It's a bit difficult to keep all the facts straight, but historical biographies are often this case. It's fascinating history, though.

Afterwards I'm planning on reading Insatiable, Porn by Asa Akira and Orlando by Virginia Woolf

    One hell of a book!

How do you find it so far?

By the way, I'm reading the "Dune" series by Frank Herbert. Epic Sci-fi!

Simply amazing. I will re-read some paragraphs as i yet dind't quite get them. Aside from his style, which really got me from the start, the fact that he ''dares'' to speak about islam, i tip my hat for him.

ps: between you and me, i strongly believe that so called prophet was just a man suffering from schizophrenia.

No wonder the imam wants his head on a silver platter!
Books by people like Rushdie are the ones that should be called bibles.

    el3ati2 - couldn't agree more !

on topic - started Cain by Saramago. This is the 2nd book i`m on from him so i kinda got used to his unique-punctuation-style.
Not good at making reviews on books, but this one -> God, genesis, Abel, Cain ,( dunno what else has, i`ll know for sure when i`ll finish it)...it's like a satire.
Those that have read Saramago know what i`m saying ;)

Lord of the Flies by William Golding. Fun read so far, very descriptive. That, or it's been so long since I've read fiction that my brain is lost and I can't tell the difference between good prose and a hole in the ground. (Oh, man, I'm loopy.)

How long did it take you to get that far? It took me years. :P

@MichaelJenkins a couple weeks (which is a long time for me) I'm usually reading more than one thing at once and Atlas got started when I was reading 3-4 other books as well and got pit down for awhile. Around 200 pages or so to go I think.
