    Default Completed Requests changes

    http://www.torrent-invites.com/completed-requests/

First off, nice idea to keep TI members safer from prying eyes, however it raises a rather large concern with me.

    Checking for Dupe Requests

When I invite a user I generally look at their created threads(or individual posts) to see if they have requested/applied for a tracker before. Since only the thread creator(and mods/admins) have the ability to view a request thread once is it completed it means I as an inviter can't check to see that they have had a successful request in the past.

eg If I was to make a SCC request (after already receiving an invite here(only viewable to myself and staff)) a potential inviter would never know I already received one. My iGiver I gave was pretty bland "Thanks for filling my REQ so quickly :)" which does not help an inviter at all in knowing I received an SCC invite.

Rather than just complain, here's how I think TI could resolve this issue:

Maybe some strict rules on iGiver's. eg they MUST include the tracker name (or state seedbox/[tracker] bonus). That way it's easy to identify what people have given/received. If that's already a rule then I'm in error here in my SCC request iGiver example.

iGiver's could possibly also be manually reviewed by staff to determine if they are in the correct format, I don't know much about the specifics of this vB plugin to know if that's an option.

    Thanks

Hmmm I didn't even realize the Completed Requests section was private. Seems like wasted effort to enforce members to identify the tracker in the iGiver titles - not to mention how difficult it would be to manage. Perhaps, it's better to remove the restriction since checking user histories is a crucial part of this forum. I've passed this on so let's just wait and see.

As an inviter who's giving away previous invites, I'd rather see the request thread in its entirety.

I agree with el2em to a certain extent. Some request are for high level invites, and the member who filled the request sometimes wishes to stay anonymous. This would be difficult to do if everyone can see process requests

    When did it go private?..

I was in the completed requests the other day and I could see everyone else's. Was I not supposed to? 0.o

Well i completely agree with JohnKay .. the same reason that he gave me was the reason which i took when i discussed it with TankGirl ... i didn't saw this thread .. and whatever you have said that's exactly the points that i raised .. So i am with you with this one .. that we should have access to the processed requests section ..

TG told me that it was being sorted out and a better way was coming around ..
