It's obvious what you 2 think and I'm done arguing the point because, our view points are noted. If anyone else has a comment or as I said the Mods involved that would be great. At this point there is no sense in going back and forth it really is unproductive. I say we should do it , you say we should not . OK It's noted.

So FTN accounts for as many as SceneHD CHDbits and UTN combined and HDbits.org is in between and more than 2 of those combined. and the 2 trackers in question put together are 60% of those unfilled requests.

I wasn't saying base it on rarity I was responding to earlier post. I said base it on clutter and pushing other requests down EVERY single day. I say base it on organizing OUR Request thread and helping the Mods and Invitors with less REDUNDANT threads that last a long long time.

Keep in mind most of the HDBits requests were made during their brief opening and a good number of those have likely been forgotten as they have not been bumped since they were created or haven't been bumped in over a month. Check the last couple pages of requests.

Also 59/217=~27%, not 60%. Do you still think 27% of all unfilled requests is too high?

Perhaps the solution to stale and lingering requests is not to relegate them to a separate thread, but better moderation.

I like the idea. Just make it a subforum of area 51 with 75%+ access.

Just because someone spams TI (to get 75% etc) it does not reflect that they would be a better fit at a high level tracker than someone who is even at 33%..

    Makes no sense

I agree with you but making the request forum a little more dificult to access will reduce the number of requests and filter out the "OMG I want FTN" newcomers.

There is no moderator for the request section who can decide whether a subforum will be created. The Area 51 mods help look after the section but it is up to administrators to create subforums.

I am against this idea. I don't see the section as being a mess. Requests for 99% of trackers are filled almost instantly. And whenever an FTN or HDbits request gets filled, the excitement goes through the roof. Now if we hide away those "high level" trackers, we will only decrease the visibility when they are filled, as well as decrease the number of posts on the forum because no one will known when one is filled. It's also likely that section will rarely get viewed.

I'm sorry but I'm gonna have to say no to this one.
