I agree with the above statement, and that's why, when you invite someone, you also have a responsability towards T-I to check on them and if they get banned for cheating, put them on the chopping block, or leave a negative igiver if they get disabled for low ratio or neutal igiver if they end up loosing their accounts for inactivity.

That way, next time, the potential inviter might think twice before inviting him or he will at least be aware of his applicants record.

The igiver system is here to guarantee a certain level of trust, but we all have to use it and rate our receivers, of course that requires extra work such as keeping a record of who's who on your invite tree.

--- the iGiver system is mere for keeping record, and sometimes it's a criteria or a demand from the inviter in his giveaways... it won't keep you "warm" though.... i mean, think about Cpt. Lennox, f.e. Let's say that, hypotheticly speaking, such a Trusted Tag is implemented... don't you think it would be a bit misleading and unfair towards the rest of the users? What would be the criteria to obtain such a Tag?

i was a member of a closed invite forum, it only had approx 100 dedicated members who all knew and trusted each other. one of those users was very active, and was promoted to staff. after i invited him to ftn, he got banned and it turned out he was an invite seller. i had spent hours in irc chatting to this guy, and was sure i knew him pretty well.

my point: you can't trust anyone, especially online.

Exactly, a trusted tag is useless, the only thing that can help track bad users is the igiver system, i just gave 10 neutral igiver, hadn't done it because i knew this would take too much time , i was late by months in my personal invitee list !
What i'm saying is that everyone should take the time to make his own invitee list and leave a neutral or negative igiver everytime one of his invitee gets disabled.

I'm sure not everyone is keeping that kind of record and i don't blame them, because it's work and if you're late and a heavy inviter like me, well it took me nearly 2 hours to make the connection beetween T-I username and tracker username.

I encourage everyone here to do the same, that's the only thing i can think of that works towards a safer T-I.

The system is good, not flawless, but good as it is, that's if everyone take the time to check their invitee...

As most members above have stated, the implementation of such a tag will not work. What it comes down to is taking the time to do a thorough background check of a member's post history, iGivers, GA threads, etc. Ask your questions, request for profile links, seedbox proofs, and perhaps ask him to join IRC to have a proper chat. Even then, you may still invite a bad member. It's your invite so, if you cherish your account, take the proper measures to reduce your chances of inviting a scammer/trader/duper/what-have-you.

Bucky's suggestion is a good one. It's probably time for members to provide neutral/negative iGivers to reflect the actions of a bad invitee. This is how the system was intended to work; but as bucky stated, members do not take the time to include this valuable information (me included - I will start now!).

In any case, the trusted tag suggestion will have to be rejected. Thanks for your input.
