    Default Notification?

I am just throwing my thoughts out here. What about a notification system where you get a notification when someone writes on you thread, or in a thread you have posted in? That would make it much easier to communicate on the forums, because of smaller waiting time when you ask or comment something someone has written.

What do you guys think? Do you think its a good idea? Or even doable?

There is already an option for this
    You can do the following
"Thread Tools"->"Subscribe to the thread"->"Instant mail notifications" or any other options.
Also the subscribed threads will be notified in your User CP(At the top of the page).

EDIT: Damn, forbidden posted before me :)

Thanks to Trevor for repping me in

Okay, thank you. Sorry if i should have known that before posting.
But it would have been great if it was possible to get it in your inbox in PM's?

Yes, that's what the other two are explaining to you. You'll receive a PM every time someone posts in your subscribed threads.

If you want to receive PMs for every thread you've posted in without having to follow the procedure (posted above) every single time, do this:

User CP > Settings & Options > Edit Options > Default Thread Subscription Mode > Select your desired setting in the drop-down menu

You know this comes up so often it would be a good addition to our FAQ: Torrent-Invites FAQ

^Anyone feel like typing up a few lines and maybe a screenshot too?

Okay, thank you guys :) I followed AmuntVCF's guide, and now it's working :)

Okay, i have been using this for some days now, but i only get e-mails. I think it would be better if we got the notifications on PM?

PM asking for invites on your own risk. If your PM is incredibly stupid, it WILL be posted in the mocking block.
Thank you to TI staff for five wonderful months!

replies in PM i dont think is a good idea because it would get real messy once a active member here(i mean more posts and activity)
u will get tired of deleting unwanted PMs and might miss important ones in the process, plus if u took a vacation u might endup with inbox full...
