Default Make the search easier to follow own thread

    Hi,

I haven't been here for a long time, but here are 2 suggestions that are somewhat related:
1- What I do most here is go to the search box and see which threads I have posted TO to see if there has since been a post/reply from someone else. It would be great if instead I could simply mask a thread as being "interesting" to me, and I'd receive a PM whenever there is a new post in this specific thread

2- It would be great is there was a button under search for "search my posts" instead of having to go the advanced search, and then enter my own username.

    Thanks

--- in order to keep track of your threads, you have the "Subscribe thread" option, that you'll find in your thread tools :

--- whenever you want to check if anyone posted in your threads, just go to User Cp, and you'll get your answer there. When talking about notification, just go to User Cp --- Edit Options and search for Messaging & Notification and there Default Thread Subscription Mode.. and choose your mode :

--- if the thread isn't yours, i guess you can bookmark it...

Another way you can see your posts without using the advanced search or subscriptions would be to just click on your username (at the top of every page) which will take you to your profile. Once there, to the right you will see "show all statistics" under your avatar. Once there you can find all your posts, threads started, even posts you thanked or were thanked for.

To see your post and the threads you've made all you have to do is (I'm expanding on what oki said) -

go to your user profile (click on your user name at the top of the forum or click on your username anywhere in the forum and then click View Public Profile),

    click on 'Statistics',

Go to 'Find all posts by alaconquete'
to access the threads you've posted in,

and 'Find all threads started by alaconquete'
to access all the threads you've created.

To the left of each post/thread is an envelope. If the envelope is open and has a paper sticking out of it it means that someone has replied to it. If the envelope is closed there have been no new replies after you've posted.

Let me know if this solves your issue or if there is anything else you require help with,

You can also find all your own posts by clicking on your name in one of your posts and select "Find More Posts by x" from the little pop-up menu that appears.

I know it's not very practical to search one of your posts to find all your posts, but I guess it helps if you're already in a thread where you just posted.

Since my very eloquent fellow TI members have so eloquently explained the subscribe and usercp functions, I see no need to explain why there is no need for such a feature.
