    Default Organization Chart

    Hey Folks,

I think having an Organization Chart (a who's who + reporting hierarchy) for T-I would be a great benefit.

It would help explain all of the moderators and admins and where they fall under in terms of how T-I is run.

This can help in several ways:
    1) Let's people know what all the admins do
    2) Help's point folks in a direction to find out where to send questions/comments/concerns too. For example intro questions v. forum questions v. site questions.
    3) Makes clear a reporting structure and role delegation

Something simple and easy to maintain - sort of like this:

I can even help build it if need be.

I think this is a great suggestion. I for one have been missing such a chart. When you're new it's not that easy to find out who's who and who's responsible for what etc. So if my voice counts for anything, I'd really like this suggestion to be given strong consideration.

On a side note, I'm just a little confused by the sample chart: could anyone tell me who's working in the TI urology department? =]

--- for seeing the staff members you have this tab "Forum Leaders" that you can find at the bottom of the Forum Home Page.

and it will re-direct you to this link : Torrent Invites! Get your free private torrent tracker invites ! - Show Groups

--- i think that, that link would provide the information you seek/ expect your chart to provide.
--- on another note, if you still don't know who to contact in case you have a problem you still have 2 solutions :

    a) the Report button : that will send a pm to staff members
    b) the IRC support/ help channel :
    #TIhelp

I'd like to respond to morph's input. I checked out the given link. It helps. At least you get to see who is a mod/intro mod/admin etc. However this still leaves many questions unanswered. It doesn't provide a clear organizational tree structure and you still don't know what all the different responsibilities are. A chart could give all the information you need at a single glance, without needing to take any 'secret routes'. Newbies could really benefit from a clear organizational picture.

    Hey Morph,

Thanks, you're right I never saw that before. Tucked away quite deeply. This doesn't cover everything, but is a great substitute nevertheless.

    We can close this out.

I don't think we should rush past this valuable suggestion. I think my last remark still stands. Maybe a staff member could give his/her opinion?

--- in my opinion, it goes like this :

    * so you don't want to use the Report button, nor the IRC channel ( let's say that for a newbie it's rather difficult or confusing )... so you have that link there, i've just posted... you won't bother the Intro Mods, unless your problem is an Introductions-related one. So you're left with Mods, Super Mods and Admins.

    * so, taking this logically, you won't bother the Admins because probably they are to be bothered only in really difficult moments or with big big problems, or if you don't trust any of the rest of the staff members ( Mods and Super Mods ). As the title clearly states the Mods are in a lower class than the Super Mods ( no offense guys )... so, i think that if you want to contact a higher power, they are to be talked to ( Mods ) as they deal with the Forum issues ( and indirectly with it's users ). If the Mods think that your problem is bigger than their attributes, they will contact as well higher powers.

--- anyways, don't get me wrong as i am not saying that your suggestion is either good or bad. I am just saying that there are some solutions instead.

Yes, I understand your reasoning. But you are looking at this from another angle, I think. All I want to say is that one chart could save a lot of trouble, searching, explaining and/or confusion. For instance, I didn't know about the link you gave, and I don't think many members know either.

    This one?
    Imageshack - staffc.jpg
    or this one?
    Imageshack - whatdochart.jpg
    Retired and happy :)
