Thread: Referral Competition?

I was thinking you guys could make a referral competition, involving the entire community. Basically, people have to use their referral link to get as many people to sign up here as possible. The winner (or top 2 or something) would then receive VIP status?

Advantages:
Increase in traffic.
Increased interest within the site.
Members that aren't though to be worth giving a chance on the site, simply do not get repped.



Disadvantages:
Single users may do multi-signups.
Lots of Introductory messages to flick through.

We did have a referral comp a while back, but it just creates a huge amount of dupe accounts. If you see the ban list, more than 50% is due to dupe accounts, and thats just from normal idiots.

I am the only one who referred actual 63 real people people and 45 of them posted 2 or more posts but I got nothing yet !
