Thread: Intro section - Ratioproof editing

Hi fellows!

I recently repped in some guys from the introduction section. I think the explanation of how to edit the ratiorpoof should have some clarifications.

I don't know if I'm totally blind or if I havn't looked at the right place - but I learned rules on how to correctly edit a ratioproof, that isn't stated here. Maybe it is stated somewhere else that I can't read, because I'm already a member?



However the things I'd like to point out that should be stated in the tutorial, is as follows:

- Remove your rank at the tracker (power user, legend etc).
- Remove the information that shows if you are connectable or not.

These are just details, but it would be great to have something to point at when someone forgot to remove the above mentioned.

I think by this, it refers to everything that may link something to your account.

First of all InsanePinoyBoy you do not ever ask for rep or thanks on anything, it is fine that you have you tutorial up but dont ever ask for a rep it is against the rules. Next thing louferts the reason why it is not in the tutorial to edit out the userclass is because when you take the screenshot of your ratio proof it is suppose to be taken from the HOME PAGE and on the home page the userclass is not named that only happends when people take a screenshot from there profile page on their tracker which your not suppose to do in the first place. Next the connectable and and not connectable is not in the rules because we have not required it so that is why it is not there. The tutorial was recently redone and made simpler and I think it works just fine the rules were simplified and it real easy to edit

hmm yea I suppose so.. but wouldn't it be better with a ratioproof that also includes removed "rank", "connectable"? Otherwise I'll have that as a reference..

I agree with louferts. There are some points that are missing in the guide. For example the covering of time in your taskbar.

In metal.iplay.ro userclass always shown next to username on all pages including home page.

it may not say it in the tutorial but if you look at the example of what your ratio proof should look like as your "finished product" and what you should compare your ratio proof to yours does have the time covered up

Okey, then the connectable removal isn't needed. But as a poster above said, the userclass isn't always just displayed on the profile page. However this little detail that remains wouldn't hurt that much to not be changed...

I checked 6 random intros now. All of them had the time in the task bar uncoverd.
As i understand the point of this guide is to make creating of ratioproof as clear as possible. Not everyone will notice that the time is covered on the example screenshot.

Adding it as additional point to the written guide isn't hard to do, but it will save a lot of time both for migits, that need to edit their proofs because of it, and for the members who need to point them to edit it over and over again.
