I noticed a few issues with the new intro guide/form and with the intros themselves.
First, newly repped in midgets' posts from their intros are being counted in post count. See here for example: Torrent Invites! Get your free private torrent tracker invites ! - Search Results (6 total post showing in postcount; 4 of 6 are intro posts). I assume that is a bug and wanted to flag it for review.
Next, the new intro form and guide is definitely a vast improvement, but I do have one concern. Nowhere during the intro process (as far as I can see) do we ask midgets to familiarize themselves with T-I's rules. The link to the rules in the intro form points back to the intro guide. The intro guide does not mention most site rules (e.g., no dupe accounts). I believe it would be prudent to add a section to the intro guide along the lines of "Rules of T-I" with a pointer to the Rules sticky: http://www.torrent-invites.com/annou...tes-rules.html. The issue is in my view that we are going to have a much higher percentage of successful applicants who will get repped in to the site than we did with the prior setup and these new members will potentially run amok without knowing site rules. It would be more efficient to charge them with some knowledge of site rules during the intro process to avoid even greater rule noncompliance then we already have.
That's all I have on intros at the moment.
