Thread: Updated Intro Form

Based on everyone's suggestions, 3 variations of the new Intro Form have been created.



What version do you prefer?

Intro Form 1

Intro Form 2

Intro Form 3

are not version 1 and 3 are same(contentwise) or am I missing something???

I voted for Intro Form 2, but really don't have a strong preference for Form 2 over Form 1. I do prefer both 1 and 2 over Form 3, as I like the greater prominence as evidenced by question placement on our rules on trading invites. If the purpose of the "have you traded invites before" question is to put us on notice that past practice may predict future behavior, that is fine I suppose. As a practical matter, however, if an applicant answers yes to this question, do we still rep them in? Refer the intro to moderators? Or just confirm that the applicant understands that they can't do it any more?

Everything is fine but there is a mistake in intro form 2 and question 3...
it is given as"How long have you using torrents?:?"
it must be "How long have you been using torrents?:"...i think

About the forms, I think I like more the first one. I know it doesn't have the question for trading as the form 2, but in that question I believe most will answer that they haven't traded, so there is no point in having it.

Well honestly if you ask me Form 2 is better as it is having one another question which says have you traded before ... this one is rather a tricky one if the user says no and then is caught trading afterwards maybe like 1 month after but the date of trading is before he joined the site then we can check the intro that did the dude stated that he traded and was he right if he said no then bang .. there he goes out of the site ! as he told us a lie ...

Rellik no i dont think so that this is the matter we should rep them in accordingly however we have to refer to their answer to what they understand from our rules..
one line can be added that Have you ever traded invites? And Will you Trade On T-I ? or something similar ..
this will clear his real views that will he trade now or not ..

Well they will be allowed I think if they say yes they did it before but not doing it now or in future..




but I think that answer will just make things more complicated...I don't know but TI once allowed trading and I have seen members from that time still active..not sure what happened to the traders though...

So this will simply bring back that stupid trading thing if someone has moved away from it then it's better to not know about it...if he says he is not doing trading now and not planning in future then I think it's OK,....that question will increase complication...

AS for me I am strictly Anti TRADER and I will never ever give invite or any help to a guy who traded so it's better for guys like me to not know.....As for now I judge guys from there current activity but maybe after reading that they did trading before I change my way of seeing things here.....

SO IMHO I don't wanna see that question in the intro...

Form two has two trading questions - do you understand our rules on trading, followed a bit further down the form by have you ever traded? Is this a deliberate mistake?

The forms I like the most are either 1 or 3 the reason I do not particularly like form 2 is for the question have you ever traded before. This used to be on our old introduction form and it did not fall to well. Reasons behind it is because the question itself says that it will not be held against someone if they answer yes to the question, but we all know that is not going to happen. Staff has been wanting us to be more welcoming and have more people repped in than rejected well then with this question included in the form it will just open the door for those to reject more people, also taking into consideration that not everyone that has traded in the past are bad people since once upon a time trading was allowed long ago.

Now Forms 1 and 3 I like but I am more partial to form 3 just because of the order of the questions. The two questions involving the rules are right next to each other which is the question about if they understand about trading and the question that includes the secret password. That is the only main reason I like 3 is just because those two questions are next to each other but really Form 1 or 3 I like


EDIT: Funny thing seems like more people are against form 2 because of that extra trading question at least as what I can see by the comments expressed yet form 2 has the most votes. I would like to see people that are voting to also please post a comment on why they are making the choice they are making because I think this is important. Just my 2 cents on the matter. I would hate to see a form get chosen when it was not what people really wanted. Oh and vise versa if you could vote in the poll as well along with your comments that way it gets taken into consideration.
